The Production Worker plays a crucial role in the efficient and safe operation of the processing and handling facility. This position involves executing tasks related to maintenance, operations, safety compliance, and quality assurance to support the facility's daily operations. This position is a union position and successful candidate must join the union after 30 days of employment. Accrued time is available for immediate use; prorated first year Position The Assembler works according to task time on a moving line or bench, performing finish assembly processes to mass-produce commercial aircraft composite products. The individual is experienced, semi-skilled worker who operates machines, factory-related processing equipment, or vehicles. Has acquired skills from training and work experience, has limited autonomy, and works under moderate supervision. Achieves competency with skills assigned to this level. Responsibilities Follow job traveler instructions to assemble parts using small hand tools, bonding adhesives and assembly jigs. Hand wraps insulation blankets, using utility knives, foam insulation, and insulation tape. Performs light sanding and abrading of composite, plastic, and some metal components. May perform some light riveting using rivet squeezes and pop rivet guns. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. Required Qualifications Fine hand motor skills. Strong attention to detail. Excellent communication skill both written and verbal. Self- motivated and quick learner. Basic math skills. Small Tools Education High School Diploma/GED preferred. Experience Two years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities in a manufacturing environment preferred.
