Job Summary
Under limited supervision this position assembles parts or units, aligns and fastens units to assemblies, subassemblies or frames using hand tools and power tools.
Essential Job Functions
Proficient in assembly of windshields, doors, sub-assemblies and accessories to set parts per hour
Promotes “safety first” mindset across production floor and ensures staff are following safety procedures/guidelines
Lead by example and in alignment with company core beliefs and values
Foster an environment of trust, collaboration, accountability and service to our team and community
Verifies stock bins for adequate supplies of sub-assemblies, parts and fasteners per the job traveler
Performs necessary quality checks on product prior to assembly and reports issues to line lead
Confirms proper functionality of power/hand tools prior to use
Packs finished product into designated carton
Identifies assembly and packing problems, reports problems to line lead for assistance
Ability to safely use multiple hand tools, including but not limited to, drills, hammers, staplers, etc.
Assists with the maintenance of tools and equipment used for manufacturing product
Utilizes design documentation and verbal or written instructions to assemble, rework or reassemble units
Trains new employees and temporary staff as needed
May assist with line lead duties to set up work stations, complete daily documentation, enter numbers into Epicor system and lead daily operations of line/cell
May assist in machine operating (CNC, VAC, Drape, Screen Print) as needed
Maintains a clean work area and always demonstrates safety awareness
May perform material handling duties (movement of material and finished goods from warehouse to production) as needed
Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent preferred
1 - 2 years' experience in a manufacturing/assembly environment
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to multitask is essential
Proficient in use of Epicor system
Knowledgeable in the use of basic computer programs
Ability to fulfill essential duties
Ability to safely perform work in varying work conditions
Ability to understand and follow directions using the English language
May require forklift certification
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull on a continuous and repetitive basis
Ability to stand for up to 12 hours
