Job Description
Title: Cool Before/After School Instructor
Reports to: Recreation Supervisor and Recreation Programmer
Job Summary: Instructors are responsible for planning and leading a successful program at the school assigned.
Specific Job Responsibilities:
Participate in pre-season staff orientation/training program.
Organize and lead activities at school site. Leaders are expected to be actively involved with all registered students that wish to participate.
Develop and implement curriculum that provides fun, creative and safe programs for participants.
Prevent injuries by minimizing or eliminating hazardous situations or behaviors.
Enforce rules and regulations of program.
Leaders are responsible for the program facility and all equipment i.e. balls, jump ropes, bats, etc. belonging to WPRF.
Ensure timely rotation of Enrichment Bins.
Implement special events and themed activities at afterschool site.
Complete all reports in a timely fashion, i.e. daily attendance, permission slips, requisition forms and timecards.
Provide first aid as needed and complete appropriate accident report.
Emphasize and model good sportsmanship in sports, games, and other activities.
Attend staff meetings.
Dress appropriately when on duty.
Assist in supervising program volunteers.
Follow all City of Waukesha employee work rules.
Return all keys, paperwork and required equipment at the end of the program.
Maintain good communication with WPRF, principal, other instructors, and parents.

Professionally Qualified (PQ) faculty will have significant and substantive relevant experience in a military or related setting that makes them uniquely or substantively qualified to teach the specific subject area. This will typically include at least 5-10 years of direct field experience, with at least several of those years at a leadership level, in the specific course area being taught: Introductory courses in U.S. history, military history, strategy, defense policy, and security studies

The Department of Computer Science in the College of Letters and Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, a federally designated Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense (CAE-CD), seeks a tenure-track AssistantProfessor in cybersecurity, computer networks, or related areas to begin in August 2026.
This is a full-time position with responsibilities for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in our cybersecurity and computer science programs; research; and service to the university, community, and profession. Research and teaching expertise should complement existing faculty expertise.
Job Details:
The successful candidate will be able to teach a variety of courses across the Cybersecurity B.S. and M.S. programs. Specific course assignments will depend on the candidate's experience and the department's needs, but may include courses in programming, web security, cloud security, system and software security, operating systems, digital forensics, computer networking, information privacy, or other topics related to cybersecurity.
The candidate will also be expected to pursue an active research agenda that engages undergraduate and graduate students; results in publications; and contributes to advancing the department, university, profession, and society. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to participate in service activities and to embrace the principles of diversity and inclusion as a member of the university community.
Responsibilities:
Full-time teaching responsibilities include teaching a variety of courses and supervising graduate capstone projects or thesis research, depending on the candidate's interests and experience as well as the department's needs. Standard teaching load in the department is 12 credits per semester; research grants or other external funding may be used to reduce this teaching load, subject to department and college approval. Faculty at UW-Whitewater may be required to teach in a variety of formats, including in-person, online, and/or hybrid formats, or courses in the evenings.
Research expectations include publications in peer-reviewed journals and/or conference proceedings, along with grant writing. The Department of Computer Science in the College of Letters and Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater seeks a tenure-track AssistantProfessor in any area(s) of computer science, beginning August 2026.
This is a full-time position with responsibilities for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in our computer science programs and potentially in our cybersecurity programs and a future artificial intelligence program; research; and service to the university, community, and profession. Research and teaching expertise should complement existing faculty expertise.
Job Details:
The successful candidate will be able to teach core computer science courses such as programming, data structures, and theory of algorithms. In addition, the successful candidate will have expertise to teach courses in one or more other subfields offered by the department, including artificial intelligence, software engineering, cloud computing, computer systems, or data science. These courses support our department's Computer Science B.S and M.S. programs, as well as our Cybersecurity B.S. and M.S. programs and a new artificial intelligence program that is under development.
The candidate will also be expected to pursue an active research agenda that engages undergraduate and graduate students; results in publications; and contributes to advancing the department, university, profession, and society. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to participate in service activities and to embrace the principles of diversity and inclusion as a member of the university community.
Responsibilities:
Full-time teaching responsibilities include teaching a variety of courses and supervising graduate capstone projects or thesis research, depending on the candidate's interests and experience as well as the department's needs. Standard teaching load in the department is 12 credits per semester; research grants or other external funding may be used to reduce this teaching load, subject to department and college approval. Faculty at UW-Whitewater may be required to teach in a variety of formats, including in-person, online, and/or hybrid formats, or courses in the evenings.
Department Information:
The Department of Computer Science ( **************************************************** ) is housed in the College of Letters and Sciences ( *********************** ). With focus areas in cybersecurity and in artificial intelligence, the department supports more than 400 undergraduate majors in computer science and cybersecurity, as well as over 150 undergraduate minors in computer science, cybersecurity, data science, bioinformatics, and website development and administration. Graduate programs supported by the department include Master of Science programs in Computer Science (on-campus and online) and in Cybersecurity (online). The department fosters a collegial relationship among faculty and staff, who provide students with hands-on learning opportunities and actively engage in research and education grants funded by agencies such as the the National Science Foundation, the Office of Naval Research, and the U.S. Department of Labor.
Research expectations include publications in peer-reviewed journals and/or conference proceedings, along with grant writing. In addition, faculty members serve as advisors/mentors to students and are encouraged to engage undergraduate and graduate students in research or other scholarly and creative activities.
Service responsibilities include committee service at the departmental, college, and university levels as well as participation in community organizations and the discipline as relevant to the candidate's expertise and interest. All students, faculty, and staff are required to ensure their materials are digitally accessible and utilize standard technology platforms supported by UW-Whitewater. Examples include, but are not limited to, Navigate, Canvas, and Microsoft Office applications - including Outlook, which is essential for university email communications and scheduling.

Required Qualifications:
* Ph.D. in computer science, software engineering, artificial intelligence, data science, or a closely related area is required.
