The Computer Science Department at UNC Chapel Hill is seeking to hire one new faculty member at the rank of Distinguished Full Professor, to begin on or after July 1, 2024. The department has a strong presence in several areas of Computer Science, including machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, graphics, augmented and virtual reality, medical imaging, robotics, visualization, robotics, real-time systems, embedded and cyber-physical systems, formal verification, mobile computing, security and computer systems, and bioinformatics. The Greensboro College Department of Theatre seeks a full-time Assistant Professor of Theatre, Musical Theatre. This position will include teaching in the musical theatre concentration, directing musicals, and advising musical theatre majors as well as assisting with recruiting for the theatre department. FACULTY RESPONSIBILITIES: Teach three to four classes per semester. Teach courses within their specialty, as well as general theatre courses. Preferred courses include Musical Theatre Cabaret, Auditions, Junior Recital, and Musical Theatre History. Direct either the musical revue and/or the book musical. There are opportunities to direct a play as well. Advise musical theatre majors. Contribute to department recruitment efforts, attend at least one recruiting conference, and assist with hosting events such as the NCTC High School Play Festival and College Day. Contribute to the college in general including attending faculty meetings, participating in faculty workshops, serving on committees, etc. Qualifications BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Masters degree or higher with prior college/university teaching experience in Musical Theatre. Excellent communication skills, as well as cordial collaborative skills with both faculty and student performers, directors, and designers.
