The COMET contract provides overall management and implementation of ground systems capabilities, flight hardware processing, and launch operations at NASA's Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in Florida. These tasks will support the International Space Station, Ground Systems Development and Operations, and the Space Launch System, Orion Multi‑Purpose Crew Vehicle, and Launch Services programs.
Responsibilities
Develops and conducts programs to train employees or customers in OSHA‑related safety content adhering to NASA workmanship standards.
Facilitates Technical Aerospace Training such as Torque/Safety Wire, Soldering and similar topics.
Develops/Edits eLearning courses using Articulate Storyline including multimedia.
Proficient in and can train data analytics software programs such as Power BI.
Instructs class following lesson plan, handouts, or texts using visual aids such as graphs, charts, video, computer simulations, internet resources, and slides as required.
Demonstrates procedures being taught applying knowledge of electrical wire color coding, programming, electronics, mechanics, hydraulics, or pneumatics, using hand‑tools, measuring instruments, and testing equipment required by course lesson plan.
Can support 2nd Shift training in a limited / occasional capacity.
Ensures trainee competency in laboratory/classroom setting.
Administers written and practical exams and may write performance reports to evaluate trainees' performance. Participates in meetings, seminars, and training sessions to obtain information useful to training facilitation and integrates information into training program.
Directly supports transition to more automated, electronic, digital processes including analyzing the current state, identifying software tools that can automate tasks, implement these solutions, and can lead these projects independently.
Qualifications
Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent; four years related experience.
Ability to communicate and work with engineers, technicians, quality personnel, and any/all personnel supporting the Artemis program.
Ability to work outside for extended periods of time and support mild to moderate physical activity.
Ability to master technical‑oriented curriculum in order to provide instruction.
Computer experience with Microsoft Office products, Internet browsers, and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in appropriate discipline from an accredited college or university, plus two (2) years of appropriate and progressive experience; or any equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience for a total of six (6) years.
Physical Requirements
Will be required to support and adhere to OSHA Fall Protection training up to and including Competent Person.
Will be required to wear hearing protection, eye protection, and other associated personal protective equipment at certain times as needed.
Position may involve extended periods of sitting or standing.
Physical requirements are sitting, walking, standing, extensive use of stairs, and access to remote structures.
Position is located on a hazardous testing facility; must be able to quickly evacuate buildings in the event of an emergency.
Work Environment
Will be required to work inside and outside throughout the space center.
Position may require individual to travel daily to different areas on site.
Walking on uneven terrain including paved areas, gravel/rocks, and dirt/sand, is required to access various locations on the facility.
Climbing ladders and platforms may be necessary.

Position Introduction:
The Department of Cognitive Science at Vassar College invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor beginning in fall 2026. We seek a cognitive scientist with research and teaching expertise in either: (1) qualitative approaches focusing on the experience of agents in context or (2) computational modeling and AI.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will be committed to teaching and research in Cognitive Science as a discipline in its own right with its integrative multidisciplinary perspective on mind and agency no matter what forms they take. The position involves teaching introductory cognitive science, advanced courses in the candidate's area of interest, and intermediate-level courses in the curriculum. In particular, we seek a cognitive scientist with research and teaching expertise in either: (1) qualitative approaches focusing on the experience of agents in context or (2) computational modeling and AI.

Position Summary:
All Teaching Faculty members shall: Prepare and teach college-approved courses in accordance with approved course descriptions and class schedules, including developing syllabi and reading lists and keeping each course taught complete and up to date; respond to and work with multiple constituencies, including students, peers (faculty and staff), and external agencies (business, community, educational, etc.); perform divisional departmental responsibilities in the selection of texts and related teaching resources; and other teaching and related duties as outlined on the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Example of Job Duties:
Under the direction of the Dean, Chair of the department or other administrator, this Instructor is expected to teach thirty (30) credit hours per academic year and will be responsible for teaching a range of courses in the discipline area of study. Additional duties may include evaluating and assessing student learning; providing student support and academic advising; planning and executing program-related events; assisting with program reviews; developing curriculum and periodically evaluating teaching materials; and attending workshops and or conferences to maintain currency in profession and field. The teaching schedule may include both day and evening classes. Course delivery systems may be lecture, hybrid, and/or online.
