Job Summary
Summary: Ensures that all audiovisual requirements requested by clients are met and will be able to interface various types of audiovisual, communication, and presentation technology. Responsible for maintaining positive customer relationships and ensuring timely responses to all inquiries for space or service needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Reviews customer and meeting planner requests from the reservation system and provides equipment/assistance at the time and place necessary. Also responsible for gathering information from email and phone communications and distributing to the assigned contact.
Provides problem escalation support and issue resolution. Follows-up on service challenges and works with the manager to take corrective action.
Provides technical assistance for all meetings and customers that require tech services for their events.
Follows SOPs for audio-visual support, as provided by the AV Manager and Director of Technology and Operations.
Adheres to preventative maintenance room sweeps on a weekly basis, and reports sweep information through the database.
Changes data projectors, lamps and cabling pieces associated with all the various integrated systems throughout the portfolio.
Reviews operation of equipment with customer and ensures that the customer is comfortable with its operation.
Offers assistance in operation of equipment and helps solve problems if customer is unsure of requirements.
Educates the staff and customers on the basics of all AV equipment in the facility.
Maintains metrics associated with room equipment inventory and repairs/replacements completed in conference rooms.
Communicates with co-workers and service partners to ensure updated information is shared.
Assists with conference room set-ups, break downs and any other areas where assistance is needed.
Keeps the A/V storerooms organized and well managed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum of one year of experience supporting audiovisual for events.
Proficient computer skills and knowledge of office technology/equipment.

Position Summary
Responsible for the Tsongas Center's “In-House Entertainment”. As part of the A/V team, the Audio-Visual Staff will help build and deliver the arena show for our patrons, creating an exciting atmosphere and experience for all games and many events. Duties and responsibilities include working within the arena's control room, operating cameras, running cables, and setting up additional A/V systems as needed. As part of the crew, you will gain hands-on experience working with state-of-the-art broadcasting and live production equipment.
This role will pay an hourly rate of $21.00

This position will remain open until April 10, 2026.
About the Venue
The Tsongas Center home to UML Division I Men's Ice Hockey, Men's and Women's basketball programs, PWHL's Boston Fleet, Massachusetts Pirates Football as well as a variety of events including concerts, family shows, comedy, and other live events. The Tsongas Center serves as a public venue to the community and has been a staple of the region for the past 27 years.
Responsibilities
Work with AudioVisual team as assigned to produce the in-house show for UML games, IFL football games, PWHL Boston Fleet games and more.
Learn proper camera set up, use and strike to execute shots as requested from the Technical Director for in-game coverage.
Work as part of the audio team to set up ancillary rooms, mics, speakers, and music play lists for guest accommodations for each game.
Work in tandem with house DJ or Band to deliver in-game audio playlists, audio hits, and cues to produce the sound performance of the in-game show.
Learn the various systems within the control room for LED displays, Replay systems, Graphical displays and Technical Direction for producing the in-game show on the jumbotron.
Develop an understanding of the set up and cabling required to feed cameras and audio into the system for reproduction throughout the arena.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum of 1- 2 years of experience in an Audio-Visual setting using cameras, audio equipment, or advanced production equipment is preferred.
1-2 years High School career/technical education is acceptable.
Understanding of standard camera operations (pan, zoom, tracking action, framing shots) and terminology such as focal point, white balance, rule of thirds, depth of field is a must.
Must be able to work regular business hours as well as evening/weekends and event days.
Ability to place needs of clients ahead of personal vision for execution of productions.
1-2 years' experience with Adobe software (After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop) is a plus

Title - Stipend - Sound Designer (Spring Musical) (SY25-26) Fulfill the artistic vision for sound for the Spring musical (Roal Dahl's Willy Wonka), according to the director of the production. The sound designer is expected to come to all production meetings and keep consistent communication with the director. The sound designer will program all sound cues and operate the board during rehearsals and shows.
Sound should be fully programmed by April 1, 2026. The sound designer will do any necessary resetting, removal, and organizing of sound materials on our day of strike, April 12, 2025. Stipend amount for this is $600.
