Position Description:
The Behavior Analyst (BA) develops and directs the individualized treatment of children diagnosed with behavioral health and developmental disorders.
The BA provides training and support to the Behavior Health Technician (BHT-ABA) on appropriate therapeutic interventions targeted to reduce client(s) maladaptive behaviors and increase adaptive behaviors as outlined in the child's Individual Treatment Plan. Monitor, track and interpret behavioral data.

Demonstrate knowledge of functional behavior assessments (FBA).

Receive encouragement and support to engage in research and professional presentations locally, regionally, and nationally should this be of interest.
Requirements:

Gateway Rehab has an outstanding opportunity for a Therapist who is responsible for providing substance use treatment and case management services for assigned patients in our Department of Corrections, Erie, PA location. This position receives regular supervision and instruction.
Responsibilities
Utilizes and promotes trauma-informed treatment through the provision of evidence-based practices.
Participates in developing the patient's treatment plan and outcomes in cooperation with the treatment team.
Provides direct therapeutic services consisting of individual, group, and/or family therapy dependent on the patient's needs.
Makes ongoing assessments regarding the patient's progress in treatment and revises the treatment plan according to patient needs.
Completes clinical documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Establishes and maintains contact and relationships with referral sources related to patient caseload.
Plans for continuing care of patient and makes appropriate referrals.
Monitors and completes insurance authorizations for patient caseload.
Provides referrals for additional care or services when required
Achieves and maintains expected productivity of 50% on an ongoing basis.
Participates in regular supervision with the manager and seeks out additional supervision as needed.
Adheres to all applicable provisions of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).
Adheres to the Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (OMHSAS), Department of Public Welfare (DPW), and Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs (DDAP) regulations.
Completes mandatory orientation and annual training programs; completes applicable attendance documentation.
Provides coverage for other programs as needed.
Performs other similar and related duties as necessary and/or as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients, families, and other professionals.
Understands the nature of addiction, including its psychological, physiological, and social aspects.
Ability to conduct thorough assessments to diagnose substance use disorders and/or co-occurring conditions.
Ability to provide individual and/or group therapy to help patients understand their addiction and develop coping strategies.
Skilled at analyzing complex situations and making sound decisions regarding treatment and intervention strategies.
Has the capacity to manage personal stress and maintain professionalism in challenging situations.
Ability to uphold strict confidentiality to protect patients' privacy.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree with 1 year experience in a behavioral health environment.
