We serve families across the state of New Jersey and are currently seeking dedicated Behavioral Technicians to join our Mercer County team. Job Summary As a Behavioral Technician, you will support children with developmental and intellectual disabilities in-home, in-community, and in-center. Providers typically work 5-20 hours per week, with 2-4 hour shifts primarily scheduled in the evenings. Services are hands-off, emotionally supportive, and designed to promote client alertness, engagement, and emotional well-being. Roles & Responsibilities • Provide non-physical, emotional, and behavioral support to children and families • Ensure the safety and well-being of the client • Implement strategies outlined in each child's Individual Support Plan • Conduct functional assessments, including Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) • Use redirection strategies to manage behavioral concerns • Submit visit notes promptly following each session in accordance with organizational and compliance guidelines • Respond to crises using de-escalation and safety strategies • Engage clients in interest-based activities to support growth and awareness • Attend case reviews, team meetings, and required trainings • Follow all agency protocols, procedures, and professional guidelines Qualifications • Authorized to work in the U.S. (No visa sponsorship available) • High School Diploma required • Bachelor's degree in Psychology or a related field is preferred but not required. Bonus Structure: • $150 issued after 45 days of active case assignment • $150 issued after an additional 60 days • Must meet all eligibility criteria throughout the bonus period Eligibility Criteria To qualify for the sign-on bonus, employees must: • Complete all onboarding and orientation requirements • Maintain a minimum weekly caseload of 2-3 assigned clients • Stay actively engaged and attend all scheduled sessions • Remain in good standing throughout the bonus period Definition of Good Standing An employee is considered in good standing if they: • Consistently meet performance expectations and documentation deadlines • Have no active Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) or disciplinary actions • Maintain effective communication with supervisors and families • Comply with all attendance policies and case responsibilities
