SUMMARY: The primary function of the Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) is to plan, develop, and monitor a variety of behavioral support service delivery options to meet the needs of clients diagnosed with behavioral and social/communication challenges. Plans and prepares written treatment program based on evaluation of patient and incorporate proper interventions that can help patients better perform everyday tasks, decrease pain, ambulation, and improve strength and mobility. Evaluate patients' functional ability through various standardized tests, measures patient's strength, motor development, sensory perception, functional capacity, and level of independence with daily activities, and records findings to develop treatment programs Develop a treatment plan for patients with specific goals and tasks Administers treatments involving application of physical agents, such as cold packs, contrast baths, moist packs, ultraviolet and infrared lamps, Iontophoresis, electrical stimulation, and ultrasound machines Evaluates effects of treatment at various stages and adjusts treatments to achieve maximum benefit Records treatment, responses, and progress in the patient's electronic medical record and prepare reports as indicated by licensure, the provider, and or insurance recommendations Instructs patient and family in treatment procedures to be continued at home. Completes documentation per clinical / department guidelines and meets expectations of monthly department chart audits.
