Essential Job Duties
Provide direct 1:1 behavior support to adults in home, community, and/or day program settings
Implement individualized treatment plans approved by a BCBA

Study all relevant records regarding the VIP you are assigned
Teach functional skills such as communication, daily living, vocational readiness, and coping strategies

Have reliable transportation to get to and from work, as well as to transport VIPs when needed
Utilize Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies, engage in supervision and training, and collaborate with the team, staff members, and families on the strategies outlined in the behavior plan

We are located in Wilkes-Barre Twp, PA and operate year-round. Our clinic hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm. We are closed on all federal holidays.
Elite ABA Therapy, LLC specializes in providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services, which are the most widely known evidence-based practices for teaching new skills and improving behavior. Our goal is to optimize our clients' independence and promote social integration by teaching meaningful and socially significant skills in the least restrictive environment. Our clinic is designed to simulate an Early Intervention-like setting, but without academic curriculum. Teaching is completely individualized and based on the client's needs identified in their treatment plan. Clients receive 1:1 individual services but are grouped with up to 7 other children to simulate a classroom. Each group of children follow a daily schedule of activities that include both individual and group formats. Individual activities include direct instruction of skill acquisition programs specified in the client's individualized treatment plan, such as teaching communication skills. Group activities include circle time, structured play groups, and planned activities (music, arts and crafts, etc.) to work on social skills and generalizing learned skills to group settings.
The daily schedule is designed for 3 different sessions per day; the morning session from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, the second session from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm., and the after-school session from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
Behavioral Health Technician/Registered Behavior Technician Service Role and Responsibilities
A BHT/RBT works one-on-one with a client using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques to decrease maladaptive behaviors by teaching functional replacement skills. The goal of therapy is to teach skills that promote client independence and social integration. This is done through a behavioral assessment and treatment plan designed by the supervising Board-Certified Behavior Analyst. This plan is implemented by the RBT/BHT through daily therapy sessions in our clinic setting.
Specific duties include:
Implementing interventions specified in the client's treatment plan while following the pre-planned daily schedule of clinic activities
Collecting data in real time throughout the session
Writing daily progress notes (via web-based practice management software)
Active communication with team members, including caregivers and supervising BC-ABA/BCBA
Assist analyst in developing/gathering materials to be used with clients
Being present for supervision with BC-ABA/BCBA (minimum of 5% of total work hours as required by the BACB)
Job Requirements:

COMHAR's Long Term Structured Residences (LTSR) are located in Northampton County. This position is located in Walnutport, PA. These therapeutic programs are designed to provide 24/7 residential and intensive treatment supports for adults with a variety of psychiatric and health related needs. Individuals requiring this level of care have access to a variety of services including individual and group therapies, psychiatric evaluation, crisis intervention, peer support, psychiatric rehabilitation and medication management. The multidisciplinary treatment team is comprised of staff that includes a psychiatrist, mental health professionals, licensed nurses, peer specialists, and direct care staff. Services are delivered both on-site and in natural community settings to maximize learning opportunities. Our focus is to assist individuals in developing skills, increasing their independence and stabilizing their psychiatric and physical health symptoms with the goal of moving into lesser structured settings.
The Mental Health Technician works from a recovery framework within the team providing individual supportive counseling and psychoeducational groups using therapeutic interventions (evidenced based practices preferred), cultural competence and trauma informed care to help individuals obtain their recovery goals.
The Mental Health Technician will provide direct services to residents, including assistance with personal hygiene and ADL's, as well as assistance with all tasks necessary for maintaining a therapeutic community and residence.
Conducting activities with residents, including educational, social and leisure programs. Inclusion of resident's input and suggestions in the planning process involved for all activities.

ABA Support Services is seeking a part-time Behavioral Health Technician/RBT. This role is responsible for providing one-on-one service to clients in a home, school or daycare/community setting. The BHT is responsible for collecting and recording data based on what is observed in terms of behavior while working with clients. BHTs will assist our BCBAs in maintaining up to date graphs as well as summarizing and calculating data. This candidate will also write progress notes and program updates as well as create session materials and stimuli.
This position offers a competitive starting hourly rate, that will increase, based upon your attainment of your Registered Behavior Technician certification. (requires completion of approx. 70 hours of training)

Required Background
:
Bachelor's Degree/AA degree (60 credits) with previous experience preferred, but not required. Prior experience working with children required. We provide extensive training! Willingness to learn and reliability is a must!
Must have reliable transportation. This position works on site where our client is located. We will assign you to cases based upon your geographic location and willingness to travel.
Completed background clearances required prior to hire date.
