The Utility Float will be responsible for keeping buildings in clean and orderly condition in various locations daily throughout central Ohio. Restrooms: Cleans and disinfects sinks, counter tops, toilets, mirrors, floors, and other surfaces as appropriate in facility restrooms. Polishes metalwork such a s fixtures and fittings. Kitchenette/Break room: cleans and disinfects sinks, counter tops, tables, floors, chairs, refrigerator, and other appliances as appropriate. Replenishes break room supplies as appropriate such as hand soap and paper towels.

Summary
The CPS Technician is the entry level position for the CPS area. CPS Technician's responsibilities may include running pre-wipe, clean room, finish goods, final inspection, and second boxing. Competency in each of these five areas is the goal for the CPS Technician role.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Inspect, pre-wipe and clean products for next stage of CPS processing and performing any related process functions for the pre-wipe area.
Inspect, assemble, and vacuum bag product inside clean room. Maintaining cleanliness of work area per requirements.
Utilize ERP and related systems to fill sales orders per customer order schedule and requirements.
Final inspects products, paperwork, and final packaging against requirements and perform ERP system transactions.
Second box, package, and label product. Palletize products according to shipment requirements.
Restock operating supplies as needed.
Maintain documentation per storage and retention requirements.
Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
Upholds and adheres to the Tosoh SMD culture and Guiding Principles.
Exhibits positivity and flexibility when assigned a new task or project.
Education
High school diploma or GED.
Skills and Qualifications
Versatility, accuracy, and excellent attention to details.
Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.

* Maintains exterior entryways to buildings.

* Changes light bulbs as requested.
* Works independently and perform duties in accordance to operational standards and work order requests.
* Operates equipment such as carpet cleaners, floor cleaners, snow blowers, salt applicators, shovels, etc.
* Performs seasonal work such as debris and litter removal in adjacent green areas.
* Follows all safety precautions of cleaning product labels.
* Inspects assigned areas and corrects or reports safety hazards as appropriate.
* Performs basic preventative maintenance and minor repairs on campus equipment used (for example vacuum, floor cleaning equipment, etc.).
* Observes safe work methods and uses appropriate safety equipment; secures worksites from safety hazards as necessary; attends safety meetings and applicable training.
* Maintains accurate records of work performed and materials used in applicable record keeping systems used.
* Participates as an active member of a team.
* Represents the University with dignity, integrity, and a spirit of cooperation in all relationships with staff, students and visitors and maintains a professional image at all times.
* Performs other relevant duties as assigned such as special projects, programs, development activities, etc.

* One - three years of experience required.
* Must be familiar with the terminology of the trade.
* Must have experience with proper handling of common cleaning chemicals and best practices.
* Attention to detail is a must.
* Must be able to work around students, faculty, staff in a sometimes fast paced environment; Must be dependable, punctual and have a good attendance record.
* Must be able to work overtime, after hours and weekends for special events and/or emergencies.
* Must be able to navigate various spaces on campus including both facilities and grounds. Requires climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, and/or carrying/lifting of heavy objects. Subject to various weather conditions. Works with hazardous chemicals which require caution and safe handling. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
