Work Environment

Select appropriate materials and methods for each project, considering durability and aesthetics.
Maintain a safe and organized workshop, adhering to all safety protocols.
Mentor junior carpenters and/or helpers, fostering skill development and craftsmanship.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in exhibit fabrication or custom casework.
Proficiency with woodworking tools, machinery, and fabrication techniques.
Strong understanding of materials, including wood, laminates, acrylics, and metals.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with CNC machinery and digital fabrication tools.
Familiarity with museum-quality standards and conservation considerations.
Knowledge of finishing techniques, including staining, painting, and laminating.
