Responsibilities:
Perform remodeling-focused carpentry: interior trim, custom cabinetry installation, framing, doors, windows, millwork, specialty finishes, and more
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and job plans

Our construction jobs are usually located on government military bases; therefore, in order to perform your duties, you must be granted access to the jobsite location on the government bases. The government will authorize base access by running a background screening and ensuring possession of a valid, current driver's license. Cull and organize materials for crew to handle on job sites.
Operate tools and machinery safely and effectively for carpentry tasks.
Assist in the coordination of carpentry work with that of Crew Lead/Foreman.

Help with heavy lifting of materials and equipment as needed on job sites.

Requirements:
At least four years in construction related labor in residential construction, with at least two of those years in finish carpentry.
Knowledge of and ability to operate all carpenter tools and equipment.
Ability to lay out construction, remodeling and alteration work.
Ability to read blueprints.
Sufficient strength and physical dexterity to perform duties and responsibilities of this job, including heavy work with exposure to inclement weather conditions for prolonged periods of time.
Ability to lift, load, and unload heavy construction materials frequently.
Must be able to wear and use appropriate personal protective equipment, as necessary.
This position will require a significant amount of driving so any candidate must have a drivers license and reliable transportation.

StructSure Projects is currently seeking General Carpenter(s) / Laborer(s) for our job at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. This position will handle carpentry and laborer duties on a job site. CONSTRUCTION EXPERIENCE ON GOVERNMENT PROJECTS REQUIRED.
Our construction jobs are usually located on government military bases; therefore, in order to perform your duties, you must be granted access to the jobsite location on the government bases. The government will authorize base access by running a background screening and ensuring possession of a valid, current driver's license. Due to this, anyone working in this position must have a clean background check and a valid, current driver's license. The position reports to either the jobsite foreman and/or the site superintendent.
This position is covered under the Davis-Bacon Act. Prevailing wage rates and fringe benefits will apply and will be paid in accordance with the U.S. Department of Labor wage determination assigned to this project.
RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS:
• General carpentry and labor to include basic wall construction, door hardware, miscellaneous accessory installation, maintenance and clean up (including sweeping and mopping), casework installation.
• Assist the site management staff as directed.
• Ensure safety and infection control standards are followed.
SKILLS, ABILITIES, EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
• Attended trade school, such as carpentry.
• Experience as a carpenter for healthcare construction projects; 3 years minimum.

Work is performed in hospitals where employees could come in contact with persons with diseases and contagious illnesses.
