About the role - CDL Class B Driver (Poultney, VT)
We are excited to announce an opportunity at Orica for a CDL Class B Driver within our Orica USA Commercial team.
This role will be responsible for driving and operating Orica's bulk trucks (Mobile Manufacturing Units) and installing blasting products for our customers at local construction sites, mines, and quarries as well as being accountable for the upkeep and maintenance of the equipment.
This is a hybrid role that consists of approximately 40% driving and 60% physical work related to the installation of blasting products. Responsibilities include loading products, driving a Class B CDL truck, pulling hoses, operating manufacturing units control systems, and climbing on and off the bulk truck in various weather conditions.
Additionally, this role will operate equipment to provide blasting products while assisting in delivering a high-quality service of bulk explosives to customers. We prioritize safety and strive to ensure that all operations are conducted in a safe and environmentally responsible manner at all times.
Work schedule
Monday through Friday
Local driving (1-3 hours)
Early morning starts at approximately 4:00 AM - 6:00 AM
Approximately 10-12 hours per day

What you will be doing

Pre-trip and post-trip inspection of vehicles, including checking and filling fluid levels
Ability to safely hook up and unhook trailers

Ensure raw materials and dangerous goods are used, handled, and stored according to requirements
Ensure minimum damage to the environment through waste minimization and control
Report all unusual incidents and accidents immediately
Participate in daily toolbox talks and monthly safety meetings

BASIC FUNCTION
To provide direct comprehensive mental health services and service coordination, including mental health assessment, treatment planning, direct developmental counseling services, and outside referrals as needed for individual students as part of the Student Success Team. This is a 10-month academic year position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide direct services to students including clinical assessment, treatment planning, diagnostic formulation to provide short-term counseling and crisis interventions services.
Provide health and wellness education and strategies to students using the Biopsychosocial-Spiritual model and the 8 Dimensions of Wellness to promote holistic health practices.
Maintain case records through our EMR system following HIPPA standards.
Serve as a consultant and trainer for residential life, student success staff, academic support, and other VTSU departments on counseling and Wellness programming matters.
Confer regularly with student success staff, faculty, and other VTSU personnel, as well as, parents, community health care providers, and other outside the University to plan, coordinate, and evaluate activities, programs, exchange information, make case referrals as appropriate, problem solve, and the like.

Obtain, coordinate, and maintain our community connections for mental health and physical wellness supports, including but not limited to primary care providers, emergency services, mental health services, substance use programs, and therapy dog-college visit programs.
