Principal Accountabilities
Assist in design of electrical projects and install electrical equipment
Coordinate efforts with other workers involved in installing and maintaining equipment or components
Consult with operators, supervisors, and engineers to plan layout of equipment and to resolve problems in system operation and maintenance
Determine feasibility of using standardized equipment and develop specifications for equipment required to perform additional functions
Work with voltage levels up to 480, 4160. Wire Variable Frequency Drive's
Study blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine installation procedures
Perform instrumentation calculation, set up of parameters and limits
Modify industrial electronic devices, circuits, and equipment in order to meet available specifications
Set up and test industrial equipment to ensure that it functions properly
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks, such as checking, cleaning, and repairing equipment, to detect and prevent problems before they occur
Inspect components of industrial equipment for accurate assembly and installation and for defects such as loose connections and frayed wires
Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous
Maintain equipment logs that record performance problems, repairs, calibrations, and tests
Examine work orders and converse with equipment operators to detect equipment problems and to ascertain whether mechanical or human errors contributed to the problems
Operate equipment to demonstrate proper use and to analyze malfunctions
Repair, install and adjust equipment, machines, and defective components, replacing worn parts such as gaskets and seals in watertight electrical equipment
Install coaxial or fiber optic cable for computers and other telecommunications equipment
Maintain inventory of spare parts. Send defective units to the manufacturer or to a specialized repair shop for repair
When breakdowns occur, make necessary repairs as quickly as possible in order to minimize inconvenience
Test faulty equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using test equipment and software, and applying knowledge of the functional operation of electronic units and systems
Work extended shifts to support the facility which may require coming in early, before normal shift and staying over later than normal shift
Short notice may be given when coming in early or staying over late. May be called in to make repairs on nights, weekends or holidays
Be flexible and adapt to changing priorities
Must follow the National Electric Code; comply with state and Cargill standards
Assist plant with management of outside contracted electrical projects for quality to comply with Cargill specifications
Participates in ongoing skill level improvement training and apply what is learned

Work involves participating in and occasionally supervising a variety of tasks, often hazardous, such as trimming and removing limbs and branches, and removing dead or diseased trees. Care is exercised to prevent damage to property and power lines. Work is performed as part of a crew and is reviewed through inspections and public satisfaction. Work may include field planning and maintenance of proper safeguards for subordinates and the public. Limited supervision may be exercised as lead worker of the crew.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Drives trucks to assigned job sites, secures work area, barricades traffic as needed
* Works as crew leader in the absence of supervisor; assumes supervision and direction of the crew as necessary, planning work and instructing crew members
* Uses an aerial bucket, climbing equipment, log loader, chain saw, and other equipment in trimming, pruning, and removing of tree limbs and dead or diseased trees encroaching on power lines or fallen on power lines
* Pulls brush from trees as they are being trimmed; collects and drags brush to truck; loads brush on truck for removal from site
* Cleans up site after tree removals or trimming
* Carefully plans and executes trimming and removal to minimize the probability of damage to property
* Exercises teamwork as a crew member, monitors clearances, assists in securing and roping down branches, watches and directs traffic as needed, maintains the safety of the public
* Sprays trees with chemicals to prevent new growth; cleans up site after finishing trimming; hauls away branches, logs, and brush
* Responds to emergencies during storms or high winds to remove trees and branches from energized power lines
* May make contact with property owners as needed to explain the trimming to be done, seek approval and resolve concerns and maintain safety of the property
* Performs routine preventive maintenance on equipment such as fueling/cleaning, checking oil/fluid levels, lubrications, inspecting tires, etc.
* Performs other work which is consistent with the essential functions of the job

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from high school or equivalent GED; some experience in tree trimming work; or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, abilities, and skills.

PA training, CIT I training, and previous Girl Scout camp experience greatly preferred

Job Summary
Installs and services Transport Refrigeration Units and Auxiliary Powered Units in trucks and/or trailers. Conducts equipment inspections and performs diagnostic tests to determine unit readiness and/or deficiencies. Performs installs, repairs, adjustments and replacement of refrigeration components, such as compressors, engines, coils, and electrical systems. Enhances service department and organizations reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing work that meets and exceeds customer expectations.
Duties and Responsibilities
Installs new refrigeration units in a timely and proficient manner.
Determines unit condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests to identify worn and/or damaged parts.
Conducts repairs and maintains unit records by annotating services received.
Maintains equipment by completing preventative maintenance schedules, installing component and parts upgrades, and controlling corrosion.
Verifies unit performance by conducting system tests, troubleshooting and downloads.
Completes Repair Orders (RO's) and enters data at the time of repair.
Keeps shop equipment working by following operational instructions and adheres to OSHA standards.
Participates in training and educational opportunities provided by the company: reads technical and regulation publications to increase job knowledge and demonstrates competencies.
Accepts responsibility for scheduled on call rotation for 24 hour service calls.
Maintains equipment appearance by cleaning and washing units. Keeps shop area organized and work space free of clutter.
Wears Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required and is compliant with Safety procedures.
Demonstrates ability to work with other team members and learn from experienced Technicians.
Performs other duties as requested, directed or assigned by management.
Job Requirements
Aptitude in a technical and mechanical role and willingness to learn about Transport Refrigeration Units (TRUs), Auxiliary Powered Units (APUs) and trailer equipment.
Capacity to demonstrate technical knowledge of refrigeration systems, materials, method and tools to perform, prioritize and complete work.
Utilize critical thinking skills, problem solving abilities, and exercises good judgment when completing tasks in an efficient, correct and productive manner.
Must possess a current valid driver's license or commercial driver's license. Must notify supervisor and discontinue operating vehicles any time license or permit is revoked or restricted. Allow only authorized passengers in company vehicles.
Coordinate tools, resources and equipment to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
Active listening skills, oral/written comprehension and commitment to perform quality service.
Basic computer and data entry skills for Windows based software programs e.g. Karmak Fusion software a plus. Knowledge of Microsoft office suite: Outlook, Word helpful.
Attendance and punctuality are essential job functions. Employees must arrive to work prior to the scheduled shift start time, while not taking unscheduled and unauthorized absences as determined by company and departmental guidelines.
