About the Position
We are looking for a Residential Care Associate II to join our team at our Bridgestone RTH in Wilsonville, Oregon! The Residential Care Associate II will provide support to the residents according to their individualized treatment plan with a focus on personal care services, environmental intervention, and limited group social and recreational treatment activities as assigned by utilizing an approved evidenced-based group curriculum. They will provide limited treatment services and personal care supports for clients that help them develop appropriate skills to increase or maintain their level of functioning. The Residential Care Associate II will administer prescribed medications, follow physician's orders for all medications and/or procedures, document on medical charts and count sheets according to established procedures, and responsibly assist clients with self-administration of medications within agency policies and procedures. They will transport clients to and from the program as necessary to engage and provide treatment services. They will maintain compliance with established productivity standards for documentation of services.
This position falls under the AFSCME bargaining unit. Wages, benefits, and working conditions are set in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.
Training Program
With our MHACBO-accredited training program, you will earn CEUs towards applicable mental health certifications, while attending your required, paid training, and receiving qualified clinical supervision gaining on-the-job experience.
Work Schedule: Sunday through Wednesday 7:00am - 5:30pm (Full-Time, Day)

Must be eligible for Qualified Mental Health Associate registration through the Mental Health & Addiction Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO). Eligibility requires 1 out of 3 Criteria below:
Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science: Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Human Development, or related field; OR minimum three (3) years of verifiable behavioral health experience working with individuals with behavioral health needs in a supervised setting; OR equivalent combination of behavioral science education in addition to satisfactory supplemental behavioral health experience and training
Will be required to register as a QMHA - R through MHACBO during the first week of employment.

The Lift Team assists direct patient care providers using safe patient mobilization techniques such as performing equipment assisted lifts, transfers, turns and repositioning of patients in clinical environment. The Lift Team strives to promote a safe patient handling environment, for both patients and care providers. Lift Team member's coach healthcare clinical staff in use of lift techniques and transfer equipment as needed. This team also participate in Massive Transfusion Protocols (MTP), transporting vital blood products and labs in an expedient and dependable manner.
Function/Duties of Position
Rounds regularly, 3 times per 8 hour shift, to inpatient ICU floors. Collaborates with clinical staff to assess patient needs before each task (lift or reposition), including type of lift to be performed, condition of patient, and state of patient's physical disability. Performs patient transfers or repositioning using the appropriate lifting and transfer equipment. Identifies availability of necessary equipment and supplies for use in transfer or reposition.
Responds to patient falls and urgent situations in an expedited manner (in less than 10 minutes). Collaborates with clinical staff to assess patient needs before lift or transfer. Identifies availability of necessary equipment and supplies for use in lift or transfer, using patient retrieval systems, such as HoverMatt or HoverJack, when necessary.
Responds to requests for patient lifts or transfer from on-site and off-site (CHH and Dental School only) clinics (in less than 20 minutes). Collaborates, if possible, with clinical staff on scheduling prior to patient appointment. Responds to requests via Vocera, pagers or through the Transportation Dispatch.
Participates in MTP's on the highest priority basis. Responds promptly to the Transportation Dispatchers directives. Maintains continual communication with dispatcher using Vocera and face-to-face communication with MTP clinical personnel. To ensure timeliness of this service, the following must be observed: use of elevators is not permissible and the first response must occur within 30 seconds of pager notification.
Transports patients using wheelchair, stretcher, hospital bed, and morgue cart to and from various locations include, but not limited to: nursing units, diagnostics, pre-op, life flight pad and morgue. Transfer patients to and from stretcher, hospital bed, exam table and wheelchair using transportation-assist devices such as Hovermatts, Slipps, slider boards and backboards.
Transports medical equipment, mail, labs, blood products and supplies to and from various locations within the OHSU environment. These locations are, but not limited to: nursing units, diagnostic areas, clinics, exam rooms, operating rooms, laboratories, morgue or offices.
Operates elevators for patient and equipment movement. Relieves elevator attendants for breaks.
Cleans and disinfects transportation medical equipment: stretchers, wheelchairs, morgue carts, HoverMatts, pillows and utility transport carts.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent; must be able to lift 50 pounds or push 300 pounds using appropriate equipment and body mechanics; must be able to follow written and/or verbal instructions; AND

Patient Assistance
* Provide personal care to the patient in a compassionate and understanding manner consistent with hospice philosophy while respecting dignity and rights of the patient.
