Support pharmacological services by monitoring inventory by maintaining appropriate inventory by following established levels and storage procedures. Assists the pharmacist in preparing prescriptions, which includes various material resource management, dispensing, clerical, and billing duties. Revenue management: ensures the accuracy of documenting services and supplies provided to the patients. Participates in quality assurance and continuous quality improvement activities. Understands the limitations to performing certain responsibilities of a registered technician in dispensing medications and remains within the scope of practice. Transports medications to patient rooms or nursing medication rooms. Retrieves unused medications from patient rooms or nursing areas. Excellent communication skills. Ability to create and foster a cooperative teamwork environment. Able to readily adapt to institutional roles and schedules.
