Duties and Responsibilities:
· Providing excellent customer service to all patients at all times
· Preparation of prescriptions to include data entry and physically packaging the prescription to the point of final verification by the pharmacist.
· Assist with ordering and checking in drugs from the wholesaler
· Follow all pharmacy policies and procedures as well as Charleston ENT P&P
· Assisting in maintaining an organized clean pharmacy
· Assist in providing safe and effective pharmaceutical care
· Follow all state and federal laws and regulations
· Keep license and registrations up to date with Board of Pharmacy and National Certification body
· Pulls and segregates outdated, damaged, and recalled drugs.
· Operate all pharmacy computer systems as well as those of Charleston ENT appropriate for pharmacy duties.
· Must be able to communicate with Doctor's, PA's, and nursing staff in a professional manner.
· Assist pharmacist with any pharmaceutical duty that he/she deems appropriate

Duties and Responsibilities:
· Providing excellent customer service to all patients at all times
· Preparation of prescriptions to include data entry and physically packaging the prescription to the point of final verification by the pharmacist.
· Assist with ordering and checking in drugs from the wholesaler
· Follow all pharmacy policies and procedures as well as Charleston ENT P&P
· Assisting in maintaining an organized clean pharmacy
· Assist in providing safe and effective pharmaceutical care
· Follow all state and federal laws and regulations
· Keep license and registrations up to date with Board of Pharmacy and National Certification body
· Pulls and segregates outdated, damaged, and recalled drugs.
· Operate all pharmacy computer systems as well as those of Charleston ENT appropriate for pharmacy duties.
· Must be able to communicate with Doctor's, PA's, and nursing staff in a professional manner.
· Assist pharmacist with any pharmaceutical duty that he/she deems appropriate
· Other job duties as assigned
Education Requirements:
High school diploma or GED certification required. Graduate of Technician training school or AHP training equivalent. Must be registered with SC Board of Pharmacy. Must hold SC State Certification!
Training and Experience:
1 year of pharmacy technician experience preferred.

Job Overview
The Compounding Lab Technician performs non-sterile pharmacy compounding and related tasks under the supervision of a pharmacist at Sweetgrass Pharmacy and Compounding. We offer a wide range of compound medications to our patients including capsules, troches, face creams, rapid dissolving tablets, suspensions and other compounds that this role will be making. This position works Monday through Friday and has the ability to be flexible with hours. This position may also have the ability to rotate into the sterile lab.
Responsibilities and Duties
Compounding of capsules, oral liquids, topical medications, nasal preparations, suppositories, troches, tablet triturates or lollipops. Hormones and other potentially hazardous chemicals are used in nonsterile compounding.
Compound medication, fill and label prescriptions and prepackage bulk medications.
Monitor inventory levels for re-order of low inventory or expiring chemicals, receive new inventory, maintain SDS and Certificates of Analysis and perform daily, weekly and monthly cleaning using appropriate disinfectants and techniques.
Environmental monitoring and verification testing must be performed according to policies and procedures.

Education and Experience
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Compounding laboratory experience a plus, but not required.
Pharmacy Technician Registration/Certification a plus
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Attention to Detail is a must.
Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
Ability to lift 40 lbs
Standards for quality, cleanliness and safety must be consistently met.
Must be collaborative and able to perform as part of a team
Knowledge of and follow applicable Standard Operating Procedures.
Ability to take direction and be coached.
Must be able to learn applicable regulations and adhere to them at all times.
Knowledge of applicable pharmacy software(s) a plus.
Ability to read, write, and perform simple math.
