Job DescriptionWe are looking for 1 experienced stable hand/maintenance professional to join the care team at this world-class equine hospital! Primary responsibilities will be cleaning stalls and stabling facilities (with horses occupying stalls) during the mornings, and then transitioning to overall facility upkeep in the afternoons. This individual should be comfortable operating mowers, weed eaters, leaf blowers, and other small machinery associated with facility maintenance - and should be able to do so in a mindful fashion around the horses. With a focus on out-patient lameness and orthopedic procedures, this clinic operates on a standard M-F work schedule, and this role is a full-time opportunity, with ample room to grow within the company! Hours are roughly 7:00am-3:30pm for full-time employment. This position will ideally be long-term. If desired, and comfortable leading/jogging horses, there is advancement potential with this opportunity. Job Duties- Clean stalls (with horses in stalls)- Empty, scrub, refill water buckets- Strip stalls after patient leaves- Maintain overall cleanliness of the stabling facilities- Mow, weed eat, edge, and leafblow around the property to maintain cleanliness- Fix fencing as needed- Help with storm prep/cleanup as needed *If qualified & interested* - Holding/leading horses- Jogging horses for veterinary inspection- Additional duties as skill set & facility needs dictate.*Additional responsibilities will carry higher comp rate* Job Requirements- Minimum 2-3 years experience working with horses- Minimum 1-2 years experience operating small landscaping machinery.- Comfortable working in stalls with young/fit/nervous horses- Familiar and competent with basic landscaping machinery- Highly organized and detail oriented- Excellent communication skills (English speaking is a requirement)- Legal right to work in the USA is required as this is a W2 position Benefits*This position will act as an agent of Equistaff for the first 3 months of employment*- Full benefits available for full-time employees after 30 days through Equistaff- Worker's comp insurance through Equistaff- Ability to transition to client's payroll & benefits if long-term employment is desired- Company-provided lunch on working days- Advancement potential within company if desired & capable
