Responsible for creating and maintaining an environment that is clean, safe, and attractive for our guests.
Prioritizing comfort and cleanliness of staterooms, facilities, and common areas around the ship.
Acknowledge guests by name and kindly take action for all housekeeping-related inquiries and service requests according to American Cruise Lines' service standards.
Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors.
Organizing inventory and stocking linen and supplies.
Carefully cleaning up spills with appropriate equipment and notifying managers of necessary maintenance requests.
Collecting and disposing of trash.
Properly cleaning upholstered furniture and lounge spaces.
Creating genuine relationships with our guests and catering to all housekeeping requests in an efficient manner.
In addition to the routine housekeeping duties, Housekeepers may be required to perform other functions, such as greeting guests upon embarkation, and helping during special events including but not limited to afternoon tea and snacks and participate in evening cocktail parties.

Under Federal Law and the Department of Transportation, we are required to pre-employment drug test all shipboard employees which includes testing for Marijuana and other controlled substances. To provide safe and conscientious service to our guests, the consumption of alcohol is strictly prohibited. All shipboard employees also have emergency and safety functions essential to the safe operation of the ship that are included in your training. Cleaning team member job in Evanston, WY
Responsible for ensuring the overall cleanliness and professional appearance of assigned facilities to ensure the safety, health, and high morale of guests and employees.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Performs duties including but not limited to vacuuming, mopping, window washing, restroom cleaning, trash removal, polishing of metal work, office cleaning, and dusting.
Follows approved cleaning practices with proper chemicals within SDS guidelines.
Stock housekeeping supplies when delivered, keep closets stocked and organized.
Operate and properly maintain cleaning equipment.
Cleaning and disposal of biohazard material according to Occupational Safety and health Administration guidelines.
Answer or direct customer inquiries to the appropriate department when necessary.
Expected to take initiative to immediately clean or correct problem areas.
Reports emergencies and maintenance needs to supervisor.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Good communication skills
Knowledge of cleaning procedures/chemicals/cleaning equipment as it relates to SDS.
Ability to understand health and safety regulations and requirements.
Education and Experience:
High School diploma or GED preferred.
Prior experience as a cleaner in EVS or equivalent preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Employee is regularly required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
Employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell.
Employees must be able to lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds.
