Keeping the Security Management Team informed of all security matters and issues as they pertain to the site and performing additional duties as directed
Must be able to work from 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM Wednesday - Sunday with occasional overtime. Shift is subject to change based on coverage and department needs.

Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent is required

Reporting to the Program Manager, the Computer Operator II will perform data tracking and transactions, maintain media, perform security checks within the Weapons Analysis Factory (WAF), a secure hardware and software development lab on the Weapons Analysis Facility (WAF) Operational Support Services contract. This position is located in Newport, RI.
What You'll Do
Serve as Media Transfer Agent (MTA)/Data Transfer Agent (DTA), creating media and transferring data across domains or between domains of different classifications
Perform virus scans on multiple types of media while following standard security procedures and protocols within the WAF
Provide comprehensive support to the Weapons Analysis Facility (WAF) user community
Set up WAF laptops for short-term loans to the user community
Support the facility by logging and tracking building service calls, escorting uncleared workers, and completing other tasking as required
Monitor system activities and resources, implementing corrective actions when necessary
Perform regular and ad hoc system backups on diverse platforms
Provide support for the WAF library using the Base Inventory Tracking (BITs) library system and following WAF library standard operating procedures

Pay is based solely on the number of calls completed.

Pay period: Every Friday after the first week worked
Tickets are run Monday-Friday during the day shift. Candidates must be regularly available a minimum of 3 weekdays to be considered.
Call volume is variable but is usually 2-5 calls per day
You will complete certifications from Dell and Lenovo as part of your onboarding. Certifications are online and free to you.
You must have a reliable form of transportation and a valid driver's license to run these calls. You will be visiting multiple work sites throughout your day.
You must have access to a computer and the Internet to log onto your portal each day.
You must be available to log into your tech portal each morning you are working by 9 am to code your calls and map out your route for the day.
The manufacturer has completed troubleshooting and shipped a part prior to your ticket being issued to you.
You will confirm service times with the customer in your tech portal. Services will be completed at the customer site (residential and commercial)
You will pick up parts daily from the assigned Fed Ex or UPS store for your territory before going onsite. Once all calls are completed for the day drop off the old parts with the pre-paid label that is provided.

Ability to document processes and procedures accurately and thoroughly.
Must be able to set priorities in a high trust environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Network+, A+ certifications preferred.
Experience with MAC/iOS devices and Chromebooks.
Experience managing users and policies in G-Suite. Google Admin Certification is a plus.
Districtwide - 12 month position
Base Starting Salary: 60k-65k dependent on experience and/or qualification
Retirement benefit: Participation in the Ridgefield Board of Education Defined Contribution Retirement Savings Plan (403b), with employer 5% match.
