Reporting to the Asphalt Production Leader and Operations Leader, this position is responsible for maintaining safety standards, environmental compliance, product quality, and cost efficiency. The Converter Operator fosters a collaborative work environment, coaches team members, and supports continuous improvement initiatives to meet customer requirements and maximize plant performance. Key Responsibilities: * Take personal ownership for safety and hold team members accountable to the same high standards. * Immediately report and address any accidents, near misses, or unsafe conditions. * Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and housekeeping standards. * Oversee team safety, production, product quality, and material/labor efficiency. * Troubleshoot process issues in collaboration with operators and maintenance teams. * Maintain accurate daily reports and perform administrative tasks including data entry and production documentation. * Coordinate carriers for raw material deliveries and finished product pickups. * Load and unload trucks following proper procedures; perform tank gauging as required. * Partner with Operations Leader to implement process improvements and achieve site goals. * Strong leadership and supervisory skills. * Excellent oral and written communication. * Knowledge of production operations, safety, and environmental compliance. * Attention to detail and problem-solving ability. * Commitment to employee safety and health initiatives. We have an exciting opportunity for a Laser Jet Operator at our Racine, WI facility. Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Laser Jet Operator to operate a 30KW Bystronic laser which is programmed to cut patterns out of specialty stainless steel and nickel alloys. The position is a 1st shift position, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime as needed. Position Reports to: Plant Manager Pay: Hourly (Non-Exempt), eligible for Overtime on hours worked over 40 per week. Role and Responsibilities Read and understand basic blueprint and drawings. Must be able to use basic measuring tools including tape measures, digital and dial calipers. Operate machine and program cuts on machine to job order requirements. If orders are handed to operator already programed, perform cut on given material. Need to match up consumables to be used on cutting head required per thickness and material composition. Load and offload cutting table of scrap and finished parts. Update material remnant cards and measure material left over after cutting process. Check quality of parts off machine including measurements, cutting edges, and edge taper. Keep work area clean and organized including sweeping and wiping machine down. Daily maintenance includes cleaning plasma cutting table of slag and dross left over after cutting process. Operate overhead crane to properly load/unload material. Keep work area clean and organized. Daily maintenance of laser. Qualifications and Education Requirements: Prior experience with Bystronic 30KW laser preferred. High School Diploma required or Equivalent. Basic computer operation experience. Preferred Skills Ability to work with others safely and professionally. Attention to detail. Must pass pre-employment background and drug and alcohol screen. Requirements: Ability to stand, sit, bend, stoop, reach. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Wear appropriate safety equipment.
