Primary:
Review project files and drawings for accuracy.
Determine proper dimensions for canopy systems based on customer requirements and material limitations.
Produce precise project drawings with accurate dimensional information and up-to-date structural, fascia, and gutter details.
Secondary:
Maintain familiarity with current design standards and customer specifications.
Continuously identify opportunities to simplify drawings, details, and manufacturing methods.
Assist other CAD team members and departments as needed.
Generate fabrication drawings using 3D modeling software.
Run plots and prints when required.
Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience in CAD drafting, ideally in architectural, structural, or metal fabrication environments.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and a strong understanding of construction drawings, dimensional accuracy, and geometric relationships.
Ability to interpret engineering specifications, shop drawings, and technical documents.
