This onsite role supports 24x7x365 operations, ensuring system stability, timely issue resolution, and coordination with cross-functional teams. **Responsibilities** - Monitor 11 mainframe consoles and respond to system messages, abends, and outstanding replies. - Execute commands and manage initiators, including draining and restarting as needed. - Support twice-monthly IPLs (Initial Program Loads), disaster recovery activities, and communications. - Coordinate monthly application releases, including managing multiple bridge calls. - Serve as backup for AS400 tape requests and Iron Mountain delivery pickups. - Collaborate with the Client TOC (IT Operations Center) and DCAS (Data Center Architecture Services) during switch maintenance. - Maintain stable VDI sessions during network upgrades due to hardwired PC configurations. - Communicate clearly and effectively with peers, management, and customers. - Build and maintain positive working relationships across teams. - Perform complex problem determination and resolution, including root cause analysis with vendor support. - Ensure compliance with all audit, security, and operational standards. Reports to Convenience Center Supervisor. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS The following duties are normal for this position. Other duties may be required and assigned. Opens/closes solid waste convenience center each day, following established procedures; secures premises.
