JOB SUMMARY - ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
A Computer Operator analyzes existing or proposed systems, designs data processing programs and related procedures to process data, and uses a multi-step process (i.e.., system investigation, analysis, design, implementation, and maintenance) to bring new or changed systems to meet customer's requirements.
Employee will be responsible for performing the following functions/duties:
Comply with computer operation policy, standards, and procedures

Interpret program requirements, audit auxiliary peripheral units to ascertain correctness of input data, and check condition and arrangement of tapes
Coordinate inputs/data in support of meeting contractual requirements
Compile programs for programmers

The expected salary range for this position is $43,680.00 to $62,400.00 annually.

THE STARTING RATE: $19.36 an hour
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Maintenance Request Management: Answer incoming calls related to maintenance and repair needs for on-site and off-site properties, logging details into the system.
Task Assignment: Allocate work orders to engineering personnel based on the information received from calls.
Life Safety System Response: Monitor fire alarm panels and other safety system alerts, identify the affected area, and promptly dispatch engineering teams to address the situation.
Personnel Coordination: Record all employee call-ins and direct them to the appropriate department or staff for follow-up.
Activity Tracking: Maintain a detailed dispatch log to track all actions and activities throughout the day for accountability and transparency.
Emergency Documentation: Accurately document time and activities during emergency events to ensure proper record-keeping and coordination.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Age Requirement: Must be 18 years or older.
Education: High school diploma, GED, or an equivalent qualification is required.
Experience: At least 1 year of prior dispatch experience required.
Availability: Must be flexible and available to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Knowledge of Life Safety Systems: Familiarity with life safety systems and emergency response protocols.

SSI needs to add a Drafter/CAD Operator III to support the China Lake community across many different weapons systems.
The mission of NAWCWD is to provide the Armed Forces with effective and affordable integrated warfare systems and life-cycle support to ensure battle space dominance. NAWCWD operates the Navy's largest Western Land and Sea Range Test and Evaluation Complex which is used to verify and validate proof of concepts to operationally fielded capabilities by applying new technologies and performing Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E), including logistics and in-service support for guided missiles, free-fall weapons, targets, crew systems, and electronic warfare systems.
Primary Functions:
This operator prepares complete sets of complex drawings or computer models that include multiple views, detail drawings, and assembly drawings.
Drawings or models include complex design features that require considerable drafting skill to visualize and portray.
Assignments regularly require the use of mathematical formulas to draw land contours or to compute weights, center of gravity, load capacities, dimensions, quantities of material, etc.
The Draft/CAD Operator works from sketches, computer models, and verbal information supplied by an engineer, architect, or designer to determine the most appropriate views, detail drawings, and supplementary information needed to complete assignments.
This operator selects required information from computer programs, and internet sites, precedents, manufacturers' catalogs, and technical guides. This operator independently resolves most of the problems encountered.
Supervisor or design originator may suggest methods of approach or provide advice on unusually difficult problems.

Education/Experience/Skills:
Master's degree in a technical discipline plus/or 10 years work experience supporting weapons systems
Must possess a valid California driver's license. U.S. Citizenship and must be able to obtain and maintain U.S. DoD SECRET Security Clearance required for hire, and to be maintained throughout employment. All candidates will be required to pass background screening to include SSN, Driver Record, and Criminal Background Investigation.
CONTINGENT OFFER
This position is contingent upon contract award and is anticipated to start in February of 2023.

Job Description
The employee shall provide daily program support and operation of the NAVWAR/NIWC Pacific Message Center that supports 14 other Command units.
The employee shall:
Provide Naval Messaging support to all supported commands
Maintain Message Center Defense Messaging System (DMDS)/and C2OIX
Have knowledge of naval message writing format
Track, test, and implement all messages and maintain profiler database for additions, deletions, and modifications to ensure timely and accurate delivery of all incoming and outgoing messages
Prepare routine unclassified and classified messages for electronic delivery, and provide appropriate handling for special category (SPECAT), NATO, and Limited Distribution (LIMDIS) information
Able to work hours such as 9:30am to 5:30pm
Qualifications:
1+ years of experience as message and administrative support in a DoD environment
Experience with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability to communicate effectively with government and contractor personnel
Familiar with Military protocol
Must have ACTIVE Security clearance
HS diploma or GED
