As an Electrical Controls Technician, you would be responsible for diagnostics, repairs, and maintaining Cedar Point's controls systems. Working as a team, the systems are maintained to a high standard. This is done utilizing digital multi-meters, PLC ladder logic, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics, and other types of diagnostic software and tools. Must have a working knowledge of Allen Bradley controls to include DC and AC drives and a multitude of PLCs from the tried-and-true PLC5 to the latest and greatest ControlLogix. The brands of drives and PLCs are not limited to Allen Bradley. Responsibilities: Install and repair electrical systems. Calibrate equipment, design, inspect, and troubleshoot wiring, panels, glitches, and other malfunctions. Diagnose and repair DC drive controllers and DC motors. Must know how to use amp probe, digital volt meter, oscilloscope and other test equipment. Diagnose PLC (SLC500, PLC5, NUMA LOGIC, ControlLogix 5000, CompactLogix) and relay logic electrical problems. Working knowledge of Allen Bradley, Icom software programs, hydraulic and pneumatic systems desirable. Familiar with AutoCad and capable of drawing schematics. Standard control system wiring practices and control sensing devices such as proximity sensors, photo eyes, etc. Other duties may be assigned. #LI-UW1 Qualifications: Must join electrical union. Associate degree in industrial or robotic control systems preferred. High degree of computer literacy preferred. Maintenance journeyman (Class A) preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of industrial control system experience preferred. High school graduate/GED preferred. Driver's License Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs. Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law. Role Summary The Electrical Distribution System Integration Engineer will be responsible and accountable for ensuring the electrical wiring system is prepared for release to support mass production in accordance with Rivian's engineering best design practice. Taking into consideration: DFM/DFA, and APQP/PPAP supplier quality standards. The Electrical Distribution Systems Engineer will act as a technical lead for their Vehicle Platform Harness Architecture and ensure that supporting Design Release Engineers (DREs) and Application Engineers have completed all of their necessary design deliverables for pre-production, production, and post-production changes. Responsibilities Define vehicle topologies for device connections, specialty cables, grounding, 12V high-current, 48V DC Architecture, 120/230V AC, and integrate with vehicle communication protocols (e.g. CAN, LIN, Ethernet, etc.) Collaborate with hardware/software vehicle architects to develop vehicle integration strategies for the physical implementation of the harnessing, supporting, and leading logical and physical diagram reviews Derive and maintain information from device transmittals (DT / ICDs), JAMA requirements, Vehicle Architecture, and collaboration with Rivian Design Release Engineers (DRE(s)), and output sub-system Logical schematics Develop complexity matrices for all harness families, defining all region and circuit level variants, trims, and options Define and review connector/terminal selection and cavity layout with Rivian DRE(s) and Librarians Ensure the design supports all cross-functional teams' design intent, including properly specifying wire size and type for ampacity, voltage drop, cost, etc. Support Vehicle and Tier I Assembly lines for design implementation, issue tracking, and closure Support TPMs in creating timing plans, as well as coordinating changes to ensure design alignment within the Electrical Distribution Organization (2D/3D/Systems) Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, or related engineering disciplines; Master's preferred Minimum 3 years' experience developing wire harness technology or electrical wiring systems Experience in Capital Harness Suite is a bonus Experience with Program Management tools, such as: Jira, Jama, Smartsheet, and Confluence a bonus Experience working with specialty cables is a bonus Knowledge of DFMEA principles and execution is a bonus Willingness to develop new technologies for future programs Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing, and listening) Self-driven, displaying initiative with minimal supervision Patience, kindness, and self-control, confidently centered around a positive mental attitude Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint Pay Disclosure Salary Range California-Based Applicants: $121,500 - $151,900 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
