Performs all aspects of police duties on the campus and other university property. Duties include but are not limited to, enforcing state laws and university rules and regulations. Job Responsibilities: Patrols and monitors an assigned area; reports suspicious activities to management. Monitors surveillance cameras, inspects property, and monitors facility traffic. Contacts law enforcement or fire department in case of an emergency. After business hours, checks doors, windows, and gates to ensure the property is secure. Investigates reports of suspicious activity on the property. Identifies persons suspected of criminal activity and reports information to law enforcement. Ensures discharged staff, trespassers, and other unwelcome parties do not enter the premises. Inspects and maintains cleanliness of assigned vehicles. Ensures fixed and mobile light fixtures are operating. Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements: Job Qualifications: Excellent observational skills and attention to detail. Authoritative verbal communication skills. Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations. Ability to learn the layout of the property and buildings.
