About the role
The Case Handler will work in shipping and receiving to load trucks to be sent directly to customers and stores. The Case Handler will also unload merchandise from the trucks. The Case Handler will be familiar with the Manhattan PKMS operating system and perform all functions as assigned in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Job Description
General Labor at Heinz- Massillon, OH (located onsite at Heinz Massillon)
Kelly Services is currently seeking General Labor Associates for The KraftHeinz Company , our top client, in Massillon, Ohio . You will be inspecting product, racking, catching and doing some light hand packing. PRIMARY FUNCTIONS: Perform assigned duties in the manufacture of various work in process and finished products in designated areas with competence. To perform all rate 2 stock, catch, blend assist when needed, push racks and perform all rate 1 jobs. Assist as necessary to insure production flow producing an acceptable finished product.
Shifts (must be available for both and will be determined after hired for daily needs)
• Days: 5:30am-6:30am starts- (shift 4-12 hours)
• Afternoons: 2:30pm/3:30pm starts- (shift 4-12 hours)
(Have to check schedule daily as it could vary by 5-10 minutes.)
Pay:
• $10/hour; temp- to-hire after 45 days
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• To properly place ingredients into containers.
• Push racks from blancher room to line or blending area.
• Mark racks with correct time when full with ingredients.
• To fill in or assist on unskilled jobs when necessary.
• Requires continuous attention to changes in machinery or operational procedures.
• Must communicate with others to insure proper production flow to avoid line downtime and waste and to reduce and eliminate rework.
• Must communicate with appropriate personnel to insure quality of finished product.
• Job tasks will be performed in a professional manner and oriented to prevent the disruption of the production line.
• Must follow good manufacturing practices.
• Participate/support the QRMP (Quality Risk Management Process) and assist in corrective actions.
• Follow all USDA, FDA, HACCP and Quality rules and regulations. Take action and/or communicate with appropriate personnel to ensure QUALITY and FOOD SAFETY throughout each step of the production process.
• Perform job duties in a safe manner, following all safety rules
• Proficiently execute all checklists and forms relating to this job.
• Job tasks will be performed in a professional manner and oriented to prevent the disruption of the production line.
• Other duties will be assigned.
Process Monitoring and Quality Control
• Ensure food safe handling procedures, and quality standards are followed
• Perform online cleanliness and quality inspections/analysis
• Stopping production if a defect is found
• Making necessary process and/or equipment adjustments
• Make approved adjustments as appropriate to maintain process parameters within designated limits
• Make recommendations regarding improving process operations
• Eliminate any source of contamination
Operator Care
• Perform minor adjustments and repairs to equipment (simple hand tools as required)
• Monitor repairs and adjustments - communicate with team lead, maintenance, and quality
• Communicate with others to insure proper production flow to avoid line downtime and waste and to reduce and eliminate rework.
Adherence to Policies and Procedures
• Follow all Safety & Environmental guidelines/policies
• Adhere to all GMP's and hygiene requirements.
• Adhere to all plant rules and requirements
• Perform routine housekeeping duties as required
• Performs job assignments following all safety procedures, precautions and processes; including lockout/tag out and PPE where required.

Lincoln Manufacturing is currently seeking candidates to fill the position of General Labor at our Strasburg, OH location. The Laborer performs a variety of tasks in a safe and efficient manner under close supervision of higher-level employees. These tasks may include assisting with extra workload, covering absences and vacations, and supplementing crews to meet unusual changes in the production area.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Cleans and lubricates equipment, maintains a manufacturing area free from debris and dirt, and readies or puts away tools as assigned.
Closely follows directions to operate machinery, hold or supply materials and tools, and load or unload items on machinery and assembly lines.
Performs any unskilled job at the plant.
May be trained to act as forklift operator when normal operator is out.
Reports any issues to supervisor or higher-level employee.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
