Project Work: Conduct an evaluation of data inputs into the Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) system which include incident reports, safety audits, and observations to identify trends and recommend preventative safety measures specific to Marine and Stevedore Operations.     Experimentation Research Analyst JANUS Research Group is currently hiring an Experimentation Research Analyst who will support the Navy Warfare Development Center at Norfolk, VA. The Navy Warfare Development Center (NWDC) is located at the Norfolk Naval Base, in Norfolk, Virginia, with a mission to develop and integrate innovative solutions to complex naval warfare challenges to enhance current and future warfighting capabilities. NWDC is the Navys lead expert for warfighting development integration and maritime operational level of war command and control and helps shape current and future initiatives. As the leader in rapid development of naval warfighting solutions, the NWDC aims to link tomorrows ideas to todays warfighter through the rapid generation and development of innovative solutions to operational challenges. In this role you will: Formulate/define research and development scope and objectives for assigned projects. Devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems considering Defense systems capacity and limitations, operating time and form of desired results. Prepare detailed specifications from which research programs will be written. Be responsible for program design, testing, and documentation. Have full technical knowledge of all phases of research application analysis and programming. Have good understanding of research analysis techniques and ability to apply them. Apply analytical and operational expertise to formulate and define research and development objectives in support of FLEX initiatives. Provide analytic inputs in development of FLEX initiative analytical lines of inquiry, data collection and analysis plans (DCAPs), initiative data collection, and post-event analysis and reporting. Select and apply appropriate research and analysis techniques to meet FLEX initiative objectives. Participate in all aspects of data collection during execution of war games, limited objective experiments, limited technical experiments, and at-sea experimentation events in accordance with the DCAP. Develop the Analysis Summary Reference Document (ASRD) and initiative findings and recommendations as a key input to each initiative's Final Experiment Report (FER).
