This role will be supporting M&A data intake due to Cadence Bank acquisition. This person must be local to Columbus, OH. There will not be daily/weekly expectations to be onsite, but they must be local for meetings onsite at Huntington. Huntington will be intaking customer data from Cadence Bank acquisition.
This will be a true contract role to start. There is currently a fulltime employee doing this work that has too much work responsibility day-to-day and can no longer support this work. There is an opportunity to extend or convert to fulltime depending on future Huntington priorities.
Summary:
This role plays a pivotal role in building and operationalizing the minimally inclusive data necessary for the enterprise data and analytics initiatives following industry standard practices and tools. DataEngineers will also test for data quality to ensure Huntington's data conforms to business rules and is accurate, complete, consistent, and uniform. This role's primarily focuses on building, managing and optimizing data pipelines and then moving these data pipelines effectively into production for key data and analytics consumers like business/data analysts, data scientists or any persona that needs curated data for data and analytics use cases across the enterprise.

The actual base pay within this range may be dependent upon many factors, which may include, but are not limited to, work location, education, experience, and skills.

Qualifications
BASIC REQUIREMENT OR INDIVIDUAL OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENT:
Degree: Mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science or field directly related to the position. The degree must be in a major field of study (at least at the baccalaureate level) that is appropriate for the position.
You may qualify if you meet one of the following:
1. GS-7: You must have completed or will complete a 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's from an accredited institution AND must have documented Superior Academic Achievement (SAA) at the undergraduate level in the following:
a) Grade Point Average 2.95 or higher out of a possible 4.0 as recorded on your official transcript or as computed based on 4 years of education or as computed based on courses completed during the final 2 years of curriculum; OR 3.45 or higher out of a possible 4.0 based on the average of the required courses completed in your major field or the required courses in your major field completed during the final 2 years of your curriculum.
