Full-time Description
The Rest Area Attendant is responsible for performing all contract requirements within the state time frames and ensures that the rest areas meet or exceed the standards set forth by TDOT.
Complete necessary paperwork accurately and on time
Comply with Easter Seals Policies and Procedures and the Employee Handbook and maintain TDOT quality standards, as well as comply with HIPAA, Title VI, and Confidentiality requirements
Attend in-service training sessions, meetings, and out of town activities as required
Promote a positive work environment by treating staff and visitors with courtesy and respect
Comply with all aspects of the contract with the TDOT
Maintain the restrooms of the rest areas in a clean and sanitary condition, adding supplies as necessary and cleaning each area as needed during shift
Maintain the foyer and reception area in a clean, attractive, and sanitary state. Walls and ceilings will be cleaned weekly
Keep the storage area clean, neat, and secure
Report any necessary repairs to the Rest Area Supervisor
Sweep or hose down the parking lot areas, sidewalks, and walkways at least once each shift. Maintain walkways as required to keep them free of snow and ice
Maintain grounds by raking leaves and mowing grass. Shrubbery care is to be maintained including careful weeding of beds and flower beds, watering plants and shrubs, and mulching including raking and maintenance of mulched areas
Collect trash for receptacles and take to the garbage bin as necessary
Complete required Quality Control Check List and perform all required duties as stated within time frames listed on the checklist each shift
Clean windows and light fixtures at least weekly or as necessary
Clean floors, doors, and water fountains at least once each shift
Clean door mats daily
Remove all trash, paper, and other debris from grounds and parking lot up to the edge of the paved shoulders which includes the shoulders of the interstate, the exit, and entrance ramps at least daily
The picnic tables and pavilions are to be cleaned each morning and as needed
Curbs and walkways are to be edged at least one time per week during the growing season
Stock brochure racks as necessary at the beginning of each shift
Report all incidents of vandalism, theft, accidents, etc. to the Supervisor, agency on-call person, and the proper law enforcement authorities immediately
Each attendant is responsible for following all safety/health/sanitation procedures and for immediately reporting unsafe practices to the Supervisor and the Director of Protection from Harm. Safety equipment includes the use of safety glasses, masks, gloves, and other equipment as specified
The third shift attendants will remain as visible as possible after dark to curb vandalism, theft, and accidents, etc. The duties shall be limited to the general building area. If the attendant is not performing actual cleaning duties, the attendant will be stationed at the area designated by the TDOT. All attendants are responsible for taking measures to curb vandalism, theft, and accidents regardless of the shift they work.

QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma/GED
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Physical and mental alertness to perform the requirements of the contract and duties
Previous maintenance experience preferred, but not required

7. Physical Requirements:
Must have a physical examination, including a drug test prior to employment and evidence of a negative tuberculosis screening. All staff may be required to pick up children weighing over 50 pounds in emergency situations. Lifting of supplies and cleaning materials, weighing 25 pounds or more, and cleaning activities such as mopping and vacuuming are regularly required. Other physical demands of this position include stooping, sitting in child-size furniture, ability to hear conversations, vision adequate to supervise young children. Full-time Description
The MAPS Lead's job function is to set individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities on a path to learn skills to help them work, live independently, learn about their neighborhoods, and find hobbies that interest them. This staff will help the individual access tools, technology, and support they need to meet the goals they set for themselves.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Will meet and work closely with the Charles Lee Center Coordinator and the individual and their families to write a plan to set goals and milestones for the first year of a three-year service plan.
Meet face to face or virtually with the individual to create a VCRM (Virtual Community Resource Map). Which will include information about jobs, housing, transportation, outings, and other places of interest for the individual.
Teach the individual to use technology (Cell phone, tablet, computer, etc.) to use the VCRM.
Work with the individual to meet a total of 3 or more milestones per year, which could include living and traveling independently, getting support for a job, getting support from peer mentor.
Teach travel training, using various forms of technology.
Help build social capital, by building networks in their communities.
Assist with communication skills at home, in the community and on the job site.
Connect the individual with resources to help with benefit advisement, technology, vocational rehabilitation services for their continued success.
Be a liaison between the individual, their family and the DDA Technology Champion and various technology vendors to help the individual access and use various forms of enabling technology to future their independence in the community, at home and in the workplace.
Meet the deadlines for each year of service for the individuals and their milestones.
Will travel to the individual for face-to-face meetings each month.
Meet with the individual virtually, via text or telephone call throughout the month.
Complete monthly service notes within the deadline
Document all work towards milestones and submit for validation.
Attend monthly provider meetings, virtual and in person.
Responsible for the safety and well-being of the individual and is required to comply
with all agency standards, policies and procedures, assuring quality services are provided.
Be a productive team member; promote a positive work environment regarding supported persons, co-workers, family members, customers, employers and community stakeholders with courtesy and respect.
Adhere to all federal, state and local laws and ESTN policies regarding the safe operation of motor vehicle.
