What you will do:
A Cabinet Designer will create, design and plan custom cabinets and storage systems for residential and commercial spaces. The Designer will combine their knowledge of design principles, materials, and construction techniques to create functional and visually appealing cabinets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Knowledgeable on all products, materials, and services to provide the most accurate information, and be able to suggest other desirable materials.
Work collaboratively with customers to identify and meet project requirements by determining practical and aesthetic goals related to design, material and product choices, specifications and estimated budget.
Assist walk-in customers, builders, and homeowners as needed.
Interact with Project Managers and Production Staff to develop and coordinate projects.
Utilize Cabinet Vision software to create drawings for customers.
Stay current with industry trends and innovations.
Work efficiently while paying attention to detail.
Participate and contribute to a “Team” environment.
Other duties as assigned.
What you need:
Cabinet Design experience and/or degree in Interior Design or related field.
Ability to learn and retain on the job training.
Knowledge of cabinet design and construction methods.
Understanding of a range of cabinet styles.
Proven experience with Cabinet Vision or similar software.
Proficiency in principles of space planning and design.
Able to develop and present design concepts.

JOB OVERVIEW
As a key member of the Engineering & Design team, the Designer is responsible for developing accurate and innovative mechanical designs that meet customer specifications and support new product development. This role involves creating detailed layouts, ensuring manufacturability, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts. The Designer works closely with engineers, project managers, and production teams to deliver high-quality, production-ready designs.
ROLE + RESPONSIBILITIES (includes but not limited to)
Develop design layouts based on customer specifications, using both standard and custom design approaches.
Create complete and accurate 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
Prepare engineering documentation and models for order release to manufacturing.
Troubleshoot mechanical assemblies and provide technical support internally and to customers.

Associate's degree in mechanical design or 3+ years in a design role.

The 2023 and 2025 Northwoods League Champions, play at Capital Credit Union Park in the shadows of Lambeau Field. Capital Credit Union Park opened on May 31st, 2019, and has hosts over 400 events each year. The playing surface is completely artificial turf, providing the versatility to host multiple events on the same day. At JR Metal Works, the Project Designer plays a central role in creating, modifying, and reviewing designs that meet supplier, customer, and stakeholder needs. This position is responsible for creating and reviewing drawings to meet specifications throughout the job cycle. Opportunity
Kohler is seeking CAD Designers to join our Vitreous Tooling Engineering team.
The Creo CAD Designer will partner with New Product Integration Engineers to prepare and develop parametric components, assemblies, design drawings, layouts, and specifications for engineering projects, including new, revised and modified products. Work will be performed utilizing Creo design software for solid modeling and drawings. You will also be involved with reverse engineering from modified and non-CAD parts. You will use your knowledge to partner with engineers and project teams in manufacturing.
Specific Responsibilities:
Design components and layouts using the following tools:
Creo Software - CAD
Insight - 3d printer software
Design CAD models that incorporate the details of manufacturing, industrial design, and engineering.
Create pattern models, mold assemblies, and drawings.
Assist NPI engineers with complex design and manufacturing constraints.
Calculate shrink and analyze counter warp based on data from product inspection. Working the expertise of NPI engineer when required.
Have basic knowledge of CNC operations, providing efficient models for machining.
Train and learn how to use inspection and reverse engineering software. Specifically, Geomagic Control X and Design X. Ability to process captured data to produce either an inspection report, polygon model or a surface for use in CAD software.
Support operation of FDM 3D printers programming software to produce high quality parts.
Skills/Requirements
Qualified candidates will meet the following criteria:
A minimum of an associate degree in engineering related field required.
Minimum of 4-7 years' experience using 3D modeling software. Preferably CREO 7 or higher
Must demonstrate advanced CAD skills and adaptability to Kohler CAD systems. Experience or knowledge of CREO/Pro-E and the plumbing division's products and production methods is highly desirable.
Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Additional preferred skills sought include:
Experience or knowledge of top-down design and mold design would be a plus.
Experience using imported geometry in model design within CREO is highly preferred.
Understanding of Windchill and file revision status.
The hourly range for this position is $22.60 - $28.25 The specific hourly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
