Responsibilities
Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties including:
Performs standard vehicle maintenance
Performs preventive maintenance
Diagnoses complex mechanical and electronic problems utilizing diagnostic computer when applicable
Completes complex and detailed mechanical inspections & repairs with minimal supervision
Replaces defective components as instructed
Works unsupervised on most tasks
Performs facility maintenance duties
Interacts with customers/drivers to properly determine nature of complaint once assigned a task.
Utilizes key functions of Shop Management System and electronic documentation available.
Works in accordance with all federal/ provincial and corporate compliance guidelines (i.e., safety, DOT, MOT).
Acts as mentor for Tech 1 and Tech 2 levels.
Demonstrate the ability to access and use internal and external maintenance documents.

In this role you will be accountable for:
Assemble machines utilizing the specified assembly checklist
Disassemble and inspect machines utilizing the specified disassembly and inspection checklist
Ability to operate overhead cranes, torches, grinders, and forklifts
Must have experience in repair, rebuild of steam turbines including controls systems, safety systems such as overspeed trip systems, manual, hydraulic, and electronic governor controls
Must have experience in inspecting critical components unique to steam turbines such as wheels, blades, governor and trip valves
Ability to accurately measure and record, document dimensions
Must understand the critical nature of steam turbine repairs and quality requirements due to potential safety related failures
To succeed in this role, you will need:
7 years' experience working with steam turbine repairs or able to demonstrate competency equivalency
Be able to use precision measuring instruments and demonstrate competency
Willingness to work in a team environment
Openness to working overtime and weekends as required
