The Master Technician / Automotive Mechanic ensures that repairs are performed correctly and efficiently by qualified technicians and that the service department maintains a consistently high level of customer satisfaction. Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Diagnoses vehicles according to the appropriate level of certifications/experience.
Performs work as outlined on the Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order with efficiency and accuracy.
Performs complex and heavy-duty repairs.
Explains technical diagnosis and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include the Store Manager, Service Consultants and/or customers.
Recommends services that are necessary to keep the customer's vehicle in running condition; properly documents all recommendations in customer file.
Follows all safety procedures and reports any concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
Maintains appropriate ASE certifications and renewals of expiring certifications.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of automotive technician / mechanic experience
Must be able to demonstrate the ability to properly use computerized equipment for diagnostics.
Possess valid/current driver's license
Current ASE's preferred
Ability to work a minimum of five days, including Saturdays
Must be at least 18 years old
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
The Master Automotive Technician / Mechanic will be exposed to moderate to loud noises, dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, petroleum products, vapors, caustic materials and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials. The temperature in the work environment varies and could include extreme heat and/or extreme cold depending on the ambient temperatures outside.
The Master Automotive Technician / Mechanic must be able to meet the following physical requirements:
Stand five hours per day and able to walk to gain access to various areas of the building
Bend, stoop, kneel and crouch regularly up to 10 hours per day; must have full range of motion with arms and hands and be able to feel, handle or finger objects frequently
Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently.

**Summary:**
Provide mechanical maintenance support to maintain equipment in an electrical generating power plant; may perform Lead Mechanic duties during absence of a Lead Mechanic.
**Essential Duties/Responsibilities:**
+ Install, maintain, test, inspect, and repair equipment such as boilers, turbines, pumps, motors, valves, condensers, heat exchanger vessels, etc.
+ Replaces bearings, packing in pumps and valves, shaft seals, sleeves, seats, and other miscellaneous parts used in plant equipment.
+ Troubleshoot stationary and rotating equipment. Make repairs as need in accordance with best practices.
+ Operate machine shop equipment such as drill presses, lathes and boring mills.
+ Repair or replace defective parts.
+ Adjust clearances and tolerances on equipment, working from a blueprint, pattern or design drawing, lays out.
+ Use micrometers and other precision devices.
+ Design and build special tools and apparatus to facilitate work.
+ Scrape and fits bearings on rotating equipment.
+ Checks equipment operation by observing oil pressures and levels, foreign sounds and similar observations. Gather routine vibration data and perform basic analysis.
+ Perform gas and/or arc welding in mechanical repairs and fabrication. Additionally performs Oxygen Acetylene cutting and brazing.

The mechanic will diagnose trouble or malfunctions of equipment and then repair, maintain, replace and install all parts and equipment to return the process to normal operation. The mechanic applies working knowledge and experience to improve maintenance techniques and operations, and upgrade equipment.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Test, troubleshoot and repair electronic equipment and electrical circuits by using specialized instruments such as multi-meters, wiggies, clamp-on ammeters, oscilloscopes and frequency meters and computers
Install specialized troubleshooting equipment for diagnostics
Troubleshoot process control computer systems, including but not limited to DCS, Modicon & Siemens PLC, ControlLogix, and RSLogix using portable computers; troubleshoot temperature, level, and pressure control instruments and processors; troubleshoot AC or DC variable speed drives.
Perform High Voltage switching for Substation PM and repair work.
Check and perform preventive maintenance on motor control center equipment; repairs or replaces motors as needed.
Perform ISO calibration on gauges, temperature controllers, etc. - Calibrate gages, controllers, transmitters etc.; calibrate substation breakers occasionally; coordinate calibration of test equipment.
Utilize sensory instruments to aid in identifying issues. Utilize technical documentation (prints, manuals, specifications, etc.) to aid in troubleshooting.
Perform root cause analysis of failure and correct to prevent reoccurrence. Review previous failure modes to aid in discovery of patterns in root cause and bad actors. Follow up on repairs with observation and monitoring of equipment after it is in service to confirm effective repairs.
Develop, document, and perform preventive and predictive maintenance tasks to improve mean time between failures (MTBF).
Perform alignment and calibration of instruments and electrical circuits to ensure proper operation.
Normal working hours are 6:30am - 3:00pm, Monday - Friday.
In order to be qualified for this role you must possess the following:
High School diploma or GED equivalent
Two-year Certificate / Associate Degree in Instrumentation or two years of industrial E&I experience.

Performs maintenance and repairs of pumps and other equipment in both the shop and in the field.
Act as a liaison between customers, and other departments of the branch, to ensure customer expectations are met and exceeded in terms of rental equipment maintenance and repair.
Trouble shoot all rental equipment for most efficient way to get equipment back online.
Maintain professional and ethical business relationships with all customers and co-workers following the established company policies and procedures.
Produce all required service tickets and/or documentation accurately, completely, and in a timely manner.
Communicates with team for coordinating delivery and pickup of parts, equipment, and accessories.
Be an ambassador for safety, making sure all work is done in the safest manner.
Continuous growth of knowledge for all Company products, inventory, and delivery capabilities
Maintain a clean work environment.
Performs other tasks and duties as assigned by Management.

We are looking for a Assembly Mechanic to join our Core team in La Porte.
Your main tasks and responsibilities:
* Safely and efficiently disassemble, thoroughly inspect, and precisely build rotating equipment such as steam turbines, gas turbines, compressors, hot gas expanders, gear boxes and other machinery according to Sulzer's established guidelines and safety protocols.
* Conduct thorough visual inspections of disassembled components, identifying wear, damage, or abnormalities that may affect equipment performance.
* Utilize precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers, dial indicators, and bore gauges, to take accurate measurements and assess dimensional integrity of parts.
* Operate overhead cranes, torches, grinders, and forklifts when required.
* Prepare detailed inspection reports documenting findings and measurements.
* Execute unit assembly of repaired or replaced components, following technical specifications and quality standards.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* 3 years of hands-on, shop oriented experience turbomachinery repair preferred.
