JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for maintaining all vehicles and heavy equipment and responding to mechanical needs in the field.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or GED
Must be at least 18 years of age
Possession of and ability to maintain a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with required endorsements and demonstrated safe driving record
Respond to after-hours mechanical problems, per on call schedule
Practical knowledge of assigned Department equipment and vehicles, with ability to perform preventative maintenance, diagnose problems, and repair equipment as needed
Ability to operate a variety of hand and/or power tools and variety of equipment in performance of duties
Ability to do light snow removal
Ability to work alone with minimum supervision, with others in a team environment, work rapidly for long periods and on several tasks at a time, often under time pressure

Responsibilities
Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership.
Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
Communicate directly with Technicians and Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
Execute repairs under manufacturer specifications.
