After the successful completion of a six (6) month probationary period, Call Takers are eligible to be placed on a promotional list for Emergency Telecommunications Dispatcher Trainee. Emergency Telecommunications Dispatcher Trainee: Salary $54,587.00 - $56,225.00 Annually Receives and processes all emergency and non-emergency requests for service. Determines the appropriate response required and the need for pre-arrival instructions. Broadcasts messages to Police, Fire, and EMS units to respond to requests for service. Processes requests for information such as record checks and stolen car listings. Maintains contact with Field Units and maintains records of units in or out of service. We are the Primary 9-1-1 answering point for nine (9) cities/towns, and we currently provide Public Safety Dispatch services to thirteen (13) EMS Agencies, eleven (11) Fire Departments, one (1) Regional ALS Fly Car System, and two (2) Law Enforcement Agencies. We also coordinate Ambulance-to-Hospital communications (CMED) to twenty-eight (28) cities and towns and six (6) area Hospitals.
