This role ensures adherence to NERC Reliability Standards and internal control frameworks while contributing to the integrity and reliability of our operations. This role will function from the remote-operations control center (ROCC) based in downtown Houston, TX. The operator shall ensure safe and reliable operations while coordinating with internal and external entities such as field operations teams, maintenance contractors. The operator shall also manage notifications and communications to external stakeholders such as the Regional Transmission Organization and Independent System Operators (RTO/ISO) and Offtakers as per NERC standards. The position is based in Downtown Houston with a shift work rotation schedule. Key Responsibilities: Operability Monitor real-time 24/7 control center operations of renewable assets to ensure safety, operability, and grid reliability in accordance with standard operating procedures Incident categorization, initial troubleshooting and escalation of issues (alarms, faults, abnormal operations) using our enterprise SCADA and CMMS applications. Fault/alarm resolution either by remote resets or coordinating local resets with field personnel. Coordinating with field personnel to ensure safe and reliable operations in accordance with standard operating and safety procedures. Coordinate with Regional Transmission Organization and Independent System Operators (RTO/ISO). As per North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) Enter and manage work orders to ensure traceability of all activities at the plants Make proper notifications to scheduling coordinators, transmission/grid operators in the event of derates or planned outages. Create and maintain documentation to effectively support the operating fleet. This may include operating procedures, turnover documentation, work instructions, alarm lists etc Safety Ensure safe and proper control of substation switching equipment and generators Execute emergency response procedures in accordance with safety plans. Grid Compliance Manual override of grid instructions/curtailments in the event of failure of AGC systems Submit outage/derate notifications to external entities using the required applications for related RTO/ISO. Analyze plant historical data and draft summary reports Monitor for voltage deviation of any plant and correct where necessary Support grid reliability using the voltage monitoring tool and correct any deviation Support grid reliability using the curtailment reliability tool and correct any abnormal operation Perform all tasks listed above during the construction and commissioning of new plants Requirements/Qualifications: Experience 3+ years in power system operations, power production, or related energy operations is required Experience working with SCADA user interfaces or HMIs is required Experience working with renewable generation (Wind, PV, BESS) is preferred Experience working in power generation or transmission control centers is preferred Ability to draft and review standard operating procedures, checklists, and specifications Proficiency in creating summary reports for both technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to work in shifts (days and nights) is required. This includes holidays and weekends. Experience with 12-hour Dupont schedule Experience with one or more ISO/RTO's such as ERCOT, SPP, PJM or NYISO is preferred. Certifications NERC certification is a plus. Job Summary: Reporting to the Quality Team Lead, the Civil Quality Inspector is responsible for the quality control management and civil works acceptance of large scale solar and battery storage projects, with potential involvement with utility scale wind projects in the future. Responsibilities include conducting routine inspections to ensure code, testing, and material compliance of services and products adhere to the standard of Repsol's Quality Management System of renewable energy projects as assigned by the Quality Team Lead, Construction Manager, Project Manager, and others as needed. This position will also be responsible for the definition of quality requirements on our construction sites. This position is project-based, and will require relocation to the project location, with occasional travel to other sites as needed. Travel to the Downtown Houston office is limited. Key Responsibilities/Duties: * Ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines through daily hazard recognition documentation review and enforcement. * Follow the QA/QC management system at sites. * Use QA/QC computer programs and tablets to document quality records. * Ability to read, interpret, and disseminate contractual language and industry related code information on multi-million-dollar renewable energy construction projects. * Responsible for performing all aspects of Civil inspection activities with minimum supervision. * Scheduling and leading meetings with project team members and management, both with Repsol and the EPC representatives * Work closely with EPC Quality Managers, inspectors, foremen, superintendents, and construction managers to resolve issues throughout construction * Coordinate with Assistant Civil Inspector daily for completion of inspection tasks * Ensure that Civil ITP stages are compliant with standards. * Review IFCs and overall accuracy. * Monitor Civil operations and conduct required work inspection to resolve quality related issues with workers and subcontractors. * Communicate with management and subcontractors on the requirements of Quality's scope of work. * Verify that all site activities comply with the quality codes and standards. * Provide appropriate feedback to management regarding QA/QC matters. * Develop Inspection and Test Programs. * Coordinate quality site inspections with all contractors/subcontractors and vendors. * Monitor the implementation of the approved site QC plan. * Inspect / review product material and testing to ensure compliance with code, standards, specifications, and QCM. * Identify and control all NCR's while ensuring correction with remedial action. * Witness post grade survey and ensure that the finish grade is to engineering specifications. * Witness density testing and ensure that daily testing documentation is in order. * Ensure all quality control turnover documentation is compiled and completed in a timely matter meeting project deadlines or contractual requirements. * Inspect remediation processes for any civil design changes. The candidate must be proficient in and have the ability and knowledge to witness, review, and understand industry-standard testing methods including: * Standard and Modified Proctors * Soil and Aggregate Gradations * Density and compaction testing * Concrete field and lab testing (including mix designs and constituents). * Other applicable ASTM test methods for soils The responsibilities of this position will include daily field inspections and reviews of all civil work, including but not limited to: * Grading * Concrete, rebar, and foundations * SWPPP compliance * Subgrade preparation * Road construction * SPCC implementation and adherence * Aggregate placement Cross training with other disciplines (mechanical and electrical) will be required as necessary and/or as determined by the Quality Team Lead. Minimum Qualifications: * Legally authorized to work in the US for any employer. * Valid US Driver's License. * OSHA 10 Certification. * Previous experience working with Geotechnical reports; previous roles completing concrete and constituent testing, density testing, and (lab) soils testing * Minimum of 5 years of construction experience on energy related projects. * Previous solar MV cable trenching experience is required. * Previous experience with SWPPP and BMPs is required. Preferred Qualifications: * Demonstrated ability in quality control of materials testing and acceptance, final grade verification, and SWPPP. * Demonstrated knowledge of USACE requirements and compliance. * OSHA 30 Certification. * One or more certifications in NICET, CCM, LEED, and ACI is a plus. * Previous experience with road construction and DOT requirements. * Previous experience with PV Plant construction, Wind farm construction, Substation Construction, concrete foundations/drilled piers, and sediment basins. * Knowledge of GPS survey equipment including Trimble, Leica, and TRUpoint. * Ability to conduct regular Quality Control reports and remedial processes outlined by the standards and specifications set forth in the engineering documents. * Ability to conduct technical writing and generate high-level, professional report summaries, as necessary * Understanding and awareness of site safety requirements by OSHA. * An ability to quickly review details, when required, to develop understanding on issues. This role will preferably be based out of the RRNA corporate offices in Houston, RRNA has projects actively under construction and operations and travel to various project sites will be required, and occasionally on short notice due to any incidents. The applicant should expect travel to total approximately 50% of their time - on average. Responsibilities: Manage HSE policies and guidelines, ensuring that they conform to regulatory requirements and the industry's best practices. Clear capacity to identify and manage risks related to construction, commissioning, and operations of renewable energy projects. Implementation of company contractual clauses, policies, procedures, and other commitments for renewable energy projects during construction and operations Review and assess the implementation of emergency action plans (EAPs), vegetation management plans (VMPs), spill prevention, control, and countermeasure (SPCC) plans, waste management plans and other site-specific items. Participates and/or leads in HSE related discussions at site toolbox talks, contractor and RRNA staff meetings. Organize and deliver various safety and environmental training. Coordinate with RRNA construction and operations teams, and contractors to enhance their HSE competency and performance. Perform regular site assessments and inspections on project sites to verify compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, permits and the contractor HSE management plan. Coordinate and assist RRNA site management with incident investigations to determine root causes, recommend corrective actions and share lessons learned. Submittal of various HSE reports and records on as required by the company, permitting agencies, and regulatory requirements. As well as for the delivery of the automation system for the high voltage scopes of work for our utility scale PV Solar, BESS, and Wind projects. This position works within multi-disciplinary teams to assist in the development of efficient and reliable collection, ,substation and transmission line designs. The position is based in Downtown Houston with a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office and 2 days from home. Key Responsibilities: Solid understanding of substation and transmission line project scopes of work and deliverables. Capable of producing control building layouts, substation general arrangement, cable and conduit plans, line arrangement, grounding plan, sections, details, auxiliary AC/DC power distribution diagrams, bill of material, cable schedule, etc. Acts as a key contributor to the development of substation physical application documents for air-insulated substations (AIS) and gas insulated substations (GIS), to define design scope, philosophies, methodologies, and criteria for medium and high-voltage substation projects. Review of design basis memorandums, detailed engineering scopes, and then guide contractor discipline engineers/designers to align with Repsol engineering deliverables according to project requirements. Provide electrical, high-voltage, collection system, and substation support to operating renewable projects. Participate in the engineering, design, and construction review processes including review of the collection system, substation, and transmission line designs. Oversee internal and external electrical discipline calculations, studies, and designs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements. For example, ampacity, reactive power compensation, loss analysis, short circuit, protection coordination, arc flash, TOV, TRV, insulation coordination, harmonic, etc. Support new project commissioning, documentation support, and assist with project energization. Review and continuously improve commissioning, maintenance, and standard operating procedures. Review maintenance records and recommend corrective actions to ensure reliability and compliance with the applicable NERC standards. With peers, develop structured feedback sessions for all lessons learned with the project team to include misoperations, root cause analysis, and safety-related events. Review and update project documentation Develop and implement site betterment projects including preparation of scope documents, exhibits, budgets, schedules, and requests for proposals. Interact closely with internal teams to ensure that project needs and objectives are met. Lead or participate in discipline specific project meetings and conference calls. Required Qualifications: Legally authorized to work in the USA for any employer, without the need for sponsorship today or in the future. Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering. 7+ years of relevant technical experience. Professional Engineering license in at least one state in the USA. Expert knowledge of medium- and high-voltage substation electrical equipment including relay protection systems, collection systems, transmission designs, and operations. Experience with large utility scale solar and wind projects preferred. Experience with establishing HV field service preferred. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, Project software suites, and SEL Equipment Proficient in industry-standard software (ETAP, CYMCAP, WinIGS); additional knowledge of CDEGS, EMTP, PSS/E, PSCAD, and related tools is preferred. Familiarity with the operation of capacitor banks, transformer load tap changers, circuit breakers, and motor/manually operated air disconnect switches.
