* Work with contractors and dealers on installation and maintenance of equipment; identifying broad training opportunities and relaying back to training department
* Ensure DFR quality standards are being met through Customer visits and follow-ups
* Works with product management, engineering, and quality to define proper maintenance schedules for DFR equipment for inclusion in technical and installation manuals
* Oversee new equipment start-ups as needed to ensure successful installation and operation, especially with new products
* Serves as subject matter expert for assigned customers & manages communication between the field, the internal team(s), field sales distributors and end-users.
* Systematically diagnoses field issues, creating thorough field reports that include the process used to diagnose, the measurements and observations collected, and finally developing a robust conclusion with recommendations on actions to resolve; this includes scheduling and coordinating work with 3rd party service providers.
* Oversees contractor engagement for assigned customers
* Identify quality and performance trends and report to the appropriate organization to assure root cause problem resolutions

**As a Welder-2 at Caterpillar, you will:**
+ Operate robotic and manual MIG weld machines
+ Perform quality checks utilizing weld and attribute gages and other measuring tools
+ Perform in station repair on defective welds using grinders
+ Follow documented procedures standard work and routings to perform safe and defect free operations to create and machine components
+ Use lifting devices to move heavy components of more than 25 lbs.
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Three (3) years of GMAW (MIG) welding experience
+ Continuous work history with progressive movement
+ Welding experience in a Heavy Fabrications manufacturing environment
+ Experience using GMAW with 0.045"
+ Experience welding 1/2" or greater thickness material

**Successful candidates must be able to pass the following AWS D1.1 welder qualifications during Cat provided weld training:**

+ Limited thickness groove test in the 1G (flat groove) position
+ Welds will be inspected visually, destructively tested (bend test), and sectioned to verify proper penetration.
+ Candidates will also need to demonstrate the ability to perform carbon arc gouging and weld repair.

As an AGV Robot technician, you will:
* Provide electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting in support of both STTT and MHE AGV systems
* Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with robotic systems, AGVs including mechanical, electrical, and programming problems and work with manufacturers to resolve these issues.
* Work closely with MEs and Production staff to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
* Provide basic operation/troubleshoot training to line technicians, Planners and MEs.
* Review CAD layout and SAP setup for Logistics storage locations. Work with Logistics Engineers to implement changes to the layout, routing, programming for any changes to the AGV/Logistics pathways
* Work with AGV supplier for any needed changes to the system requiring supplier input
* Evaluate and troubleshoot any issues related to AGV Delivery systems, develop running action list and coordinate routine touchpoints with operations and engineering for timely resolution of actions
* Evaluate AGV pathways and make recommendations for efficiency improvements for better utilization of systems
* Maintain KPIs that show AGV utilization, process improvements and improvement actions for KPIs
* ASRS technology and troubleshooting
* Cobot Technology and troubleshooting
Basic Qualifications:
* Must have at least 3 years of manufacturing experience
* Intermediate proficiency (Basic skills/knowledge. Capable of functioning independently) using Standard Assembly tools (torque wrenches, pneumatic tools, etc.) and their applications
