Additional / Preferred Qualifications: - Hands-on experience with PCB design and layout. Knowledge of electronic design practices for EMC compliance. Strong analytical skills combined with excellent problem-solving abilities and interpersonal communication. Experience in UPS and power module development is highly desirable.     Provide support to Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) as an Electrical Engineering Intern - Limited Service Employee (LSE) on the Savannah River Site (SRS), a US Department of Energy (DOE) facility in Aiken, South Carolina. Responsibilities The Electrical Engineering Interns will perform meaningful work in support of the SRMC organization. Selected Electrical Engineering Interns will be assigned to 1 of 4 SRMC production facilities or Design Engineering where the intern, as part of the Electrical Engineering group will: - Work daily on various technical topics with an engineering mentor - Provide assistance to electrical system engineers to assess system health, prepare/review design changes, determine replacements for obsolete parts, troubleshoot system equipment, review work packages, support/resolve installation technical issues. - Provide assistance to mechanical system engineers to determine replacements for obsolete parts, troubleshoot system equipment. Additional Information: The internship is expected to be a 10-12 week period from May 2026 until the end of July 2026. Housing is not provided, but reasonable rentals may be available through local university student housing offices. The selected candidate will be responsible for their own transportation. A 40-hour work week is set and scheduled by the individual departments. SRMC utilizes various work schedules including 5/8s (8 hours/day; five days per week), 4/10s (10 hours/day; four days per week), etc. Each workday has a 30-minute lunch.
