Job Responsibilities
As an electrical or computer engineering intern, you will join a multidisciplinary team to apply your academic knowledge and gain hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas:
* Electronic Warfare and Signal Processing: Antennas, electromagnetics, sensors, radar, photonics, and advanced signal processing.
* Communications and Spectrum Operations: Wireless communications, SIGINT, spectrum management, and position, navigation, and timing (PNT).
* Embedded Systems and Security: Electronics design, embedded security, and cryptographic systems.
* Prototyping and Advanced Manufacturing: Rapid hardware prototyping, mechanical design, reliability analysis, and advanced manufacturing techniques.
* Maritime Systems Development: Acoustic and ocean modeling, SONAR system analysis, and transducer design.
Basic Qualifications
* Must be a full-time student pursuing an accredited degree program in ElectricalEngineering, Computer Engineering, or related disciplines.
* Must continue to be enrolled the semester following the internship.
* Foundational knowledge in electrical and/or computer engineering including relevant tools, methodologies, and programming languages.
* Must have sustained excellence in academic performance.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience having applied electrical or computer engineering concepts in an internship, research, or laboratory setting.

Day in the Life:
As an ElectricalEngineer, you will provide hands-on support for electrical and instrumentation infrastructure at natural gas compressor stations and processing facilities. What You Will be Doing
Under broad assignment, and guidance of a senior engineer, you will be responsible for the carrying out and assisting in engineering diagnosis, analysis, and maintenance of photonics systems and components. Specifically, you will work with programmers and scientists to identify and solve problems remotely on fielded photonics and microwave photonics equipment at the ALMA site. You will review and execute necessary repair and maintenance on various photonics modules and complex assemblies (including fiber lasers, photonic amplifiers and receivers, optical switching equipment, optical line-length correctors, microwave photonic reference generators, etc.). Responsibilities also include recommendations, coordination and assisting in decisions on such aspects as design, procurement, manufacture, assembly, test and some degree of initial operation of new systems. Managing spares inventory and related databases would be another responsibility.

Join a growing team of EW experts in the Intelligence Community (IC) to support military weapon development and testing. What You'll Do
* Conduct original EW all-source intelligence research and engineering analysis to characterize system performance and capabilities
