Your Opportunity
In this position as an Electrical Intern, you will have the opportunity to work as part of a team of engineers on multiple projects for a range of public and private sector clients. The role of an Electrical Intern is to perform a variety of selected tasks and assignments to continue to develop knowledge and skills within the electrical discipline. An Electrical Intern will perform a variety of tasks to assist with the development of plans and designs of electrical systems consisting of, but not limited to, lighting/controls, power distribution/generation, energy efficiency/sustainability, and fire alarm in commercial, educational, institutional and other types of facilities.
Your Key Responsibilities
Work closely with Building ElectricalEngineers and Designs to prepare contract drawings, calculations, specifications, schedules, and details ranging from conceptual design to detailed construction documents using software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Excel
* Participate in Summer Intern Design Project with interns of other building design disciplines
* Facilitate and ensure the quality of the project deliverables
* Follow production guidelines and project standards of the department

Pay Range:

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. This role will also be responsible for the Sustaining Engineering Efforts for the fleet of Electrolyzer systems actively supporting Client operations globally. You will be expected to support both internal and external troubleshooting efforts during operations, Root Cause Analysis (RCA) in the event of equipment failure, and fleet performance in order to maintain Client satisfaction around Key Performance Indicators (KPI). These activities will require inter-departmental collaboration and third-party supplier relationship building to drive design improvement and maintain equipment up-time.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong engineering background with applied experience developing and servicing complex electro-mechanical systems, rectifier and transformer packages, medium voltage power systems, large-scale industrial gas plants, or similar types of systems.

Lead development and validation of service engineering deliverables during new product development to assure the global services organization and 3rd party partners are prepared to support fielded systems.

Experience leading small electrical design teams and having some client interface experience is preferred.
Experience using construction management tools such as Procore and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
Basic understanding of power monitoring systems for electrical systems is a plus.
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
COMPENSATION:
Base Compensation: $90,000-$225,000 (Actual compensation is subject to variation due to factors such as education, experience, skills and/or location)

ElectricalEngineer will work as part of a cross functional team that includes engineering managers, architects and projects managers who will designing new commercial HVAC systems as well as renovating existing systems. Qualified candidates must understand how the electrical components of an HVAC system would need to be intergraded into other electrical systems such as alarm/phone systems within commercial buildings.
Additional job requirements are as follows;
Mechanical design from concept to construction completion
Job costing and estimates with the goal of keeping project within budget
Perform electric service calculations as well as design electrical distribution systems and lighting control systems
Knowledge of building and energy codes/standards
Fire alarm/telcom design a plus
QC of documents and drawing to ensure compliance
Experience with bids/RFI/RFP
Bachelor's degree in ElectricalEngineering or Architectural Engineering
LEED AP accreditation preferred
Professional Engineer (PE) License is desired
