Raytheon's Airborne Multi-Mission Electronics Department, part of Integrated Electrical Solution mission area, is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer - Firmware to design and develop power conversion technologies for the airborne military applications. What You Will Do: * Support work in the Hardware/Firmware Engineering Department at the Electronic Warfare Systems * Support work on new product development based on descriptions and specifications provided by our customers. * Partner with integrated product teams to design, develop, and manufacture complex state-of-the-art systems for airborne, naval, and land-based military applications. * Activities include detailed digital design, embedded systems, and FPGA development. * Complete specific tasks including circuit analysis, circuit simulation, FPGA programming, design documentation, design verification and testing, and integration of hardware and software at the level of electronic components and circuit boards. * This 1st shift role is 100% onsite and based in Goleta, CA. Qualifications You Must Have: * Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum 5 years' of prior work experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years' of prior work experience. * Experience with basic lab equipment (i.e. oscilloscopes, signal generators, etc.). * Experience designing, debugging and/or testing electronics hardware. * Experience working in a team environment. * Experience using engineering tools (i.e. Vivado, Quartus, etc.) for design (i.e. VHDL, Verilog, etc.). * Experience in one or more of the following areas: * Digital Signal Processing * Intel/Altera, AMD/Xilinx and/or Microsemi FPGAs * Designing in Matlab/Simulink with DSP Builder and HDL Coder blocksets * Digital hardware design and firmware integration * The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance post-start is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
