Position Summary
ITT is seeking individuals to operate in a fast-paced, high-energy, start-up environment to launch new sustainable products to market with accelerated commercial success. Flow machines (pumps, fans, compressors) are one of the largest consumers of energy on the planet and account for approximately 35% of global electricity consumption. VIDAR has developed new variable speed motors that reduce energy of flow machines as much as 50%.

Essential Responsibilities
The ElectricalEngineering Intern is assigned to assist the test lab with testing power electronics and electric motors.
Install, assemble and testing of electro-mechanical systems in lab environment
Record information and results about product performance
Assist in the commissioning of new test rigs
Communicate with customers, team members, engineers and managers to determine possible problems or update individuals with work progress, on a daily basis.
Partner with electrical, firmware and mechanical engineers to fine tune the testing and diagnostic processes
Recommend upgrades and modifications to improve system performance
Maintain all tools, equipment and components by performing inventory and scheduled maintenance tasks
Operate manual tools safely to avoid accidents
Maintain documentations of system installation and maintenance procedures
Maintain cleanliness and organization in test lab
The ElectricalEngineering Intern is assigned to assist the engineering team with design & programming duties.
Perform basic programming of VIDAR Motors, C code (if familiar), and any other programming language.
Decipher drawings, diagrams, blueprints and instructions
Assist in creating drawings & schematics for components and assemblies in Altium.
Run simulations in LT Spice
Run tests on PCBs in R&D laboratory
Record faults and failures into reports
