This position is part of the Electrical and Instrumentation Division of BLS Electrical (BLSE) and has a full range of responsibilities that include but are not limited to supporting the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical and instrumentation systems under the guidance of senior journeymen and foremen. Your work will ensure our facilities' control systems operate safely and efficiently, contributing directly to operational reliability and continuous improvement. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform day-to-day operations and routine maintenance on instrumentation and electrical equipment. Assist with installation, inspection, troubleshooting, calibration, and repair of pneumatic, hydraulic, electric, electronic, and PLC control systems. Interpret technical drawings, including P&IDs, one-line diagrams, panel layouts, and cable schedules. Service and maintain facility instrumentation and controls to achieve maximum efficiency and reliability. Troubleshoot and repair motor control centers, electrical distribution systems, motors, and related electrical equipment. Modify, repair, and replace systems and equipment under direction. Maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance and repair activities. Adhere to company safety policies and actively participate in safety meetings. PURPOSE The primary purpose of the position is to provide direct on-site emergency service, preventive maintenance and installation support to end user customers while ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction. The position is also responsible for assisting in reaching Service Zone Revenue targets with work group sales responsibilities ranging from 1 to 2 MM dollars and to communicate product sales opportunities to Sales and Applications team's members as needed. Willingness to acquire and use sales skills is a must. Difficulties include extensive travel (50,000 to 75,000 driving miles per year), working with contaminated products, exposure to X-rays and Magnetic fields, sick patients and the need to lift heavy equipment (over 50lbs). YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and installations at end user customer sites using approved Bayer documentation; Schedule and organize own work activities, ensure efficient operations; Organize and re-order inventory valued at $20K to ensure quality work and low incident of defective or incomplete on-site customer visits; Responsible for proper return of all defective inventory for replenishment; Price service calls, offering discounts or converting to full contracts when needed; Generate service revenue of up to $500K in given work group (Individual revenue responsibilities may vary); Prepare and develop sales quotes and follows through to close the sale. Call end-user customers, purchasing agents and Bayer dealers to finalize and ask for the order; Interfaces heavily with Service Admin/MSRC billing processors to ensure proper & timely invoicing. JOB SUMMARY The Radio Technician is responsible for the frequency coordination, initial installation, troubleshooting, service, and maintenance of new and existing radio systems at various tower locations and within the communications center. Provides hands-on assistance involving troubleshooting and diagnostic support for all relates systems, equipment failures or service issues. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES * Communication systems: * Installs and maintains all equipment at tower sites as well as the Communications Center. * Provides support to the IT department by evaluating/programming computer routers and networking systems within the communications center. * Assists the Avionics department for programming aircraft radios to the proper dispatch frequencies. * Administrative duties: * Coordinates the licensing process of radio frequencies with the (FCC) Federal Communications Commission o Maintains accurate records of communications systems, equipment performance and work accomplished as well as any information as required QUALIFICATIONS Experience: Minimum of two years of experience as a wireless communication technician. Education: * High school diploma or equivalent, required. * Vocational technical training in wireless communications systems and electronics. Skills: * Knowledge in the use and service of Zetron dispatch consoles. * Knowledge in Motorola radios, Cisco routers and dispatch voice recorders. PURPOSE The primary purpose of the position is to provide direct on-site emergency service, preventive maintenance and installation support to end user customers while ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction. The position is also responsible for assisting in reaching Service Zone Revenue targets with work group sales responsibilities ranging from 1 to 2 MM dollars and to communicate product sales opportunities to Sales and Applications team's members as needed. Willingness to acquire and use sales skills is a must. Difficulties include extensive travel (50,000 to 75,000 driving miles per year), working with contaminated products, exposure to X-rays and Magnetic fields, sick patients and the need to lift heavy equipment (over 50lbs). Typical work week approaches 50 hrs and on-call duty as needed by Zone Service manager. The span of coverage will be Colorado, Southern Wyoming, Southwest Nebraska and Northwest Kansas. Travel will be up to 75% within the territory. YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and installations at end user customer sites using approved Bayer documentation; Schedule and organize own work activities, ensure efficient operations; Organize and re-order inventory valued at $20K to ensure quality work and low incident of defective or incomplete on-site customer visits; Responsible for proper return of all defective inventory for replenishment; Price service calls, offering discounts or converting to full contracts when needed; Generate service revenue of up to $500K in given work group (Individual revenue responsibilities may vary); Prepare and develop sales quotes and follows through to close the sale. Call end-user customers, purchasing agents and Bayer dealers to finalize and ask for the order; Interfaces heavily with Service Admin/MSRC billing processors to ensure proper & timely invoicing.
