Submarine Electronic Warfare Engineering Technician (Secret)

Compensation: $25.04 Hourly
The company is seeking a Submarine Electronic Warfare Engineering Technician to join their Portsmouth, New Hampshire team to support an anticipated opening. This role focuses on the submarine aspect of the AN/BLQ-10 system, involving tasks like installation, testing, and repair of the system.
Essential Responsibilities:
Provide support to engineering and design staff in a variety of engineering tasks in the installation, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, calibration, testing, fabrication, construction and operation of diverse electronic/mechanical equipment and systems in accordance with engineering specifications
Install, monitor, and service SWFTS Tech-Insertion & APB cycle of AN/BLQ-10 ESM systems at various Naval locations
Assist with test and evaluation, checkout, certification tasks. Perform validations/ verifications of various electronic systems
Review change proposals for equipment impacts
Assist in accomplishing Engineering Change Instructions
Develop technical/engineering data for Planned Maintenance Systems, technical manuals, troubleshooting procedures, drawing updates, operation procedures, and maintainability improvements
Establish and maintain a filing system, databases, and logs as needed for tracking project status and inventory
Provide technical data and evaluation for components installation, equipment maintenance and systems consistent with engineering plans, layout and contract requirements
Minimum Qualifications: (Please have following requirements listed on resume before submitting for the position)
Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain an Active Secret Clearance.
Ability to travel 5-10% of the time per year.
Five (5) years of practical experience and High School diploma/GED OR Three (3) years practical experience and an Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology, math, or science; or Formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications; or four-year electronics apprentice program.
Practical experience in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and/or repair of C5I and/or NC3 systems/equipment.
Experience in the maintenance/repair and/or installation disciplines.
Experience in design, preparation, and modification of engineering documents, and drawings.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred candidate will possess knowledge across multiple submarine platforms and SWFTS systems.
Service Contract Act (SCA)
This is an hourly, overtime-eligible position that falls under the Service Contract Act (SCA). In accordance with the Health and Welfare provisions of the SCA, and in addition to your base hourly rate, you may be eligible to receive an additional health and welfare payment for each hour you work to ensure compliance with the minimums set forth by the act. The amount you are entitled to receive will vary depending upon the fringe benefits you select now and in the future.
