The Senior Casting Technology Manufacturing Engineer provides technical leadership for SX or equiax investment castings across the value stream. Provide monthly and quarterly information to project manager, vice president of operations and vice president of finance, including but not limited to: forecasted estimate on costs required for completion of project, outstanding extra work total costs, and amount that has been performed but un-billed, encountered busts in the bid, and pending claims. Assist in legal claims as necessary. Responsible for job closeout being performed in proper and efficient manner and keeping the project manager and vice president of operation informed of closeout status. Monitor crafts compliance with company/project safety program requirements. Assist safety manager with preparation, documentation, and distribution of accident reports. Assist in resolution of conflicts with client, a/e liaison, etc. Optimize the profitability of the company by demonstrating the ability of a decision maker with reliable and mature judgment. Qualifications Indirect supervision. Fully competent in all conventional aspects of subject matter or functional area. Plans and conducts work requiring judgment in independent evaluation, selection and substantial adaptation/modification of standards. Devises new solutions to problems encountered. Job Description The Project Engineer will be responsible for design on multiple projects, directing and/or leading other design professionals within their discipline, and working with other design disciplines internal and external to PEC to develop engineering solutions for PEC's Clients. This position will be responsible for providing design deliverables for a variety of projects, while maintaining PEC's standard of excellence. This position utilizes BIM/CAD software, hand calculations, and computer-based calculations. Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for project completion in accordance with qualify assurance policies, standards and project specifications Prepare and review engineering plans and drawings Assist in the preparation of project proposals, cost estimates, and feasibility studies Performs and/or directs engineering design, coordination with other design staff for construction document and specification production in compliance with building codes, construction administration, and development of reports/studies Serves as an advisor to the Project Manager, identifying and communicating any potential risk to the project in a timely fashion Performs and/or directs design computations by hand and by computer software Uses experience, education, and judgement to make informed decisions.
