Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Work side-by-side with a mentor to undergo training for a period of time, which is normally 9-24 months, in preparation for a future Mechanical Technician position. Participate in a variety of training courses including computer-based and instructor led training. Receive on-the-job training which will address troubleshooting, testing, maintaining, installing, repairing, and operating equipment associated with gas compression and the pipeline industry. Maintain all equipment to the highest quality, in a timely manner, while keeping cost at a minimum. Participate and successfully complete all assigned training programs. Participate in required safety meetings and comply with established safety policies and procedures. Review procedures as necessary to ensure compliance of all company and industry standards to meet all regulatory agency requirements. Ability to optimize work to affect a minimal amount of overtime. Perform remedial and preventative maintenance and maintain safety through good housekeeping practices inside and outside of the facilities. Must use and wear all PPE when required. Qualifications The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications: A minimum of a high school diploma or G. E. D. equivalent is required. Technical certification or equivalent training in a mechanical environment or energy related field is preferred. A minimum of 3+ years' mechanical experience is required. A minimum of 5+ years' gas-fired, engine-driven compressor experience is preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude with basic troubleshooting and maintenance skills is required. Experience in maintenance and repair of reciprocating engines and associated components is required. Must have a current driver's license and good driving record. Ability to read and understand, analyze and interpret documents, equipment repair manuals, reports and federal, state and local codes and regulations. The ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, such as, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical solutions is required. Basic computer skills such as: opening, creating and updating content in MS Word documents and Excel spreadsheets is required. The ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with other individuals, teams, customers, and stakeholders of the business, at various levels of the organization, in a business like and professional manner is required. The Lab Trainee Specialist responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Performing laboratory analysis (primarily gas chromatograph) for custody quality measurement and product quality control.Performing wet lab bench chemistry analyses but not limited to color assays, copper strip corrosion testing, RVP, chloride/fluoride/NH3 testing in LPG samples, moisture analyses meter and coulometric, pH, and titration analyses. Qualified Candidate will initially provide support to the MB Lab by maintaining cylinders, including replacing consumables, i.e. valves, tips, leak, and pressure testing. This applies to single cavity flow through cylinders and dual cavity piston cylinders. Maintaining an accurate log of each of the cylinders through the use of a spreadsheet. Qualified Candidate will also maintain a current inventory of all Lab Supplies and consumables to maintain Lab Operations without shutting down the Lab. This will encompass office supplies (i.e. printer cartridges, toner for the fax) as well as filling out POs in Oracle for lab consumables (i.e. titrants, solvents, pipettes, syringes, gloves, paper towels, etc.) #LI-MR1Qualifications The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry is preferred. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Assigned to a location within the Company to undergo orientation and training for a period that is normally 9-24 months in preparation for a future Gathering Technician position. The training will address coordinating system shutdowns, line pressure maintenance, lock out/tag out, hydrate mitigation, excavation activities, dew point monitoring, Right of Way Encroachments and various other duties.
