Warfel Construction is currently hiring a full-time position as a Heavy Equipment Operator. This position reports directly to the Superintendent, in addition to our Special Projects Manager, and will require strict adherence to all Warfel safety rules and regulations, including any site-specific necessities. This position must have a valid equipment operator license and must be able to operate a telehandler. It will be physically doing demo and when debris builds up you will be responsible to use telehandler to raise dumpster to window and then dump into dumpster on ground. This is a 6 month project with a small break in between phases. We will have other work to do in that time and this can lead to a permanent position for the right person.

Heavy Equipment Operator/Excavation Responsibilities: Operates construction equipment in the loading, hauling and unloading of various equipment, materials and supplies. Operates jackhammers, mowers, brush chippers and other small equipment and tools. Works with and assists the crew in digging ditches and trenches, hoisting material, tools, equipment, and any related work. Performs routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refers defects or repairs to the supervisor; cleans equipment. Assists in the installing and maintenance of traffic control devices. Plows snow, salts roads, and walkways according to policy.
