Flint has an exciting opportunity for an Entry Level Estimator. The Estimating position will assist the preconstruction team in procuring work and budgeting negotiated projects. Additional services will include evaluating client requirements, budgeting, preparing GMP's, providing value engineering, constructability reviews, design consultant management on design build projects, subcontractor work scope preparation, and maintenance of subcontractor / supplier historical cost data base. The major responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following: Evaluating proposals/bid documents to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate. Evaluating contractual requirements, attending pre-bid meetings, and determining scope of work and potential conflicts. Preparing take-offs and budgets for labor/material/equipment pricing, performing labor production analysis, and determining general conditions and indirect job cost expenses. Job Requirements: Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 0 - 2 years of Estimating experience and possess the following attributes: Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, mathematics, finance or accounting, or related degree field. Strong analytical skills and ability to learn quickly and adapt to pressure situations. Understanding of basic math skills with general understanding of construction practices. Understanding of estimating software, including Microsoft Products, On-Screen Take-Off software, Blue Beam, Bid Software, and knowledge of BIM, Primavera, Assemble, and Autodesk (this can be learned on the job). Title: Estimator (Heavy Civil-Earthwork and Underground Piping) Salary: 119K to 135K DOE This position is responsible for developing accurate, timely proposals and estimates for both private and public sector projects. Additionally, the Estimator will assist the Senior Estimator/Project Manager in all aspects of the bid/estimating process from review of plans and specifications, negotiating prices from subcontractors and suppliers through completion of bid/estimating effort including closeout. The Multi-Family Plumbing Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate, timely, and competitive plumbing estimates for Villara's multi-family residential projects. This role plays a key part in securing new work and supporting our mission to deliver high-quality, cost-effective plumbing systems. The Estimator reviews plans, develops detailed takeoffs, and collaborates closely with Villara's operations, purchasing, and field leadership to ensure our bids reflect realistic installation methods and align with company standards. Key Responsibilities Review and interpret plumbing plans, specifications, fixture schedules, and engineering documents for multi-family projects. Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for all plumbing materials, fixtures, equipment, and labor. Prepare conceptual, budgetary, and final plumbing estimates based on available project information. Identify scope gaps, design conflicts, value-engineering options, and constructability issues specific to Villara's installation methods. Coordinate with Purchasing to ensure updated material pricing, fixture selections, and vendor quotes. Solicit, qualify, and compare subcontractor pricing when needed.
