What you need to succeed: Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of experience working as an estimator for a General Contractor with annual revenue above $50 million is preferred. 4-year college degree, preferably with a major in Building Construction or related field. Excellent knowledge and experience with the Microsoft Office suite of products (includes Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.). Experience with Microsoft Project is preferred. Prior work experience in the multi-family industry and working knowledge of estimating construction jobs is preferred (reviewing, understanding, and performing take-offs on architectural plans; pricing/securing materials and building final job estimates). Experience with or knowledge of Building Connected, PlanHub, On-Center OST, Bluebeam or other digital take-off or estimating software application(s) is preferred. Experience in performing insurance estimates for fire, water or tornado damage using Xactimate or some other estimating software/tools is preferred but not required. Excellent communication (verbal and written), negotiation, time management, organizational and problem-solving skills required.
